John Chow Vs Srini Saripalli?

WOW this is getting some serious attention. The world seems to be divided over the review that John Chow wrote about my blog??¦

The review can be found here—>Srini Saripalli A Success Engineer?

That??™s a Million dollar review right there. More on it in a minute??¦

About 10 days ago I approached John Chow to write a review on my blog. I knew my blog was not ready for a John Chow effect as I was still working on most of the components…

Hence I did highlight this in my first email to John:

“I was interested in getting a review of my blog done by you. Tell me how to proceed about it. Not sure if my blog is ready for a review yet, but let me know what qualifications you look for to write a review?”

John was prompt with his response, he told me the review will cost me about $500 and my blog perfectly blends with his readership and promised me it will be ready in about 5 days.

After Reading His Review Many Believe I Hurried Myself In Approaching John

I was personally tired of to a point with comments such as “Srini You are good” , “Srini your blog is great’ that I wanted someone to really get to the bottom of what I was doing and provide me with some core insights.

Why John Chow?

All my research to find the top bloggers in the world led me to John??™s website. The guy calls a spade a spade and is always to the point. Makes a ton of money blogging( I will overtake him soon..:)-) and according to me/many he is the one of the best bloggers in the world.

If you have read the review, you might have noticed, he finished the entire review in the heading itself. A class act!

John has a great following from the top bloggers around the world. I wanted these bloggers to comment on my work as well.

Net Net, I wanted a sincere review and the best in the world to comment on my work ??¦which I achieved with this review.

Now More On The Review:

I whole heartedly agree with what John has to say. He makes the point -that I have a long way to go- in the headline and substantiates it with ample evidence in the body.

The quality of the contnet:

John finds me to be honest and sincere but do not find my content to be of value. Well I will leave this one to you to decide??¦.

..Nothing to brag but .I know my strategies on content creation are unparalleled, again this is based on numerous people who have attended my live seminars and workshops.

Unnecessary use of ??????? marks and deficiencies in my grammar

I come from the direct response marketing world where spellings, grammar, punctuation marks seldom matter. I write about things that make me money and tell people what to do to make money.

Incidentally I have made a ton of money using “?” marks and “#” sings in my sales copy. If you are a copy writer or use copy as your asset you can relate to this.

Lack of Professionalism:

He points out that my About Page is incomplete. A few links on the top give 404 error.

Well it depends how you look at them(Glass is half empty, Glass is half Full). According to me and many others It shows lack of completeness. Lack of professionalism and incompleteness are two different things.

( My design team is building the page as I write)

How this review has helped me so far:

Well it has certainly increased my viewership. John sent me about 1000 visitors to my site in first 36 hours.

4 people opted into my autoresponder.

Expecting a surge in traffic, I thought of putting a lightbox on the blog but restrained myself thinking it will be annoying to John??™s readers.

More than the traffic John pointed some serious flaws in my writing, which are worth to me in gold. I am getting ready to publish my book and this review will help me considerably.

For all those who think $500 was a waste: I urge you to try the cost of Ignorance!

For all those who think John effectively killed me as a blogger:. He just explained the rules of the game to a serious contender.

Together we two will make the blogging world better.

Where I am going from here on:

Strong and on track to making $50K a Month from this blog!.

Sincerely, Humbly and Profitably Yours!

Hi Srini, why you want to become like John Chow? Why not someone very different and much effective than John and have 10 times the followers than John? You can take aspirations from him and Yaro and Darren (who are equally good, if not better)but work on your line? Am I sounding advisory? I have read the review of your site by Michael Kwan and have read each and every comment including yours. I personally feel that criticising too much is not healthy. In the long run, it actually spoils the image.

I have read also about your grammatical errors where you have explained that English is not your forte. See, I have started editing books and the first one will hit the Indian as well as the world market October this year. Why don’t you appoint me as your editor? Of course I will charge for it; I am not a sadhu who will say no to money. Well, you can try out. If you are interested, let me know via my email.

    Hi Sangeeta,

Thanks for writing. To be honest I am not competing with anyone. I do read Yaro and Darren. They are master bloggers. Yaro, Darren, John Chow and a few others have given a new definition to blogging in the realm of internet marketing.

As far as Michael’s review is concerned, I do not think anyone criticized anyone. Its just a free flow of thoughts nothing more or less than that. I have started fixing everything they pointed in the review. Let’s see where it goes.

I believe that most of the grammatical errors are due to my speed. I want to correct them as I go. Slow down and plan well. If I fail I will knock on your doors for help.
Thank you for the offer, it’s so generous off you.

I will visit your site and spend sometime today.

    Thanks
    Srini
