If you are looking for the ultimate formula on how to create happiness and fulfillment in any aspect of your life, then this is the video stay with me. Hi, I’m Srini Saripalli. And this is the success mystery YouTube channel. And this question is there is an ultimate formula for creating happiness and fulfillment that has been around since our revolution, and this is going to probably be there till we all of us are gone from here. So, as a student of success, I have studied a few books. And I’ve consulted with a few philosophers, a few mentors, few trainers. And no matter who I spoke to, everybody had a formula. And all those formulas were valid. And each formula was unique and different. If you go and talk to random people on the street and ask them, what’s the secret to success? No two answers are going to be the same. So the more we try to find the answer, the more the question becomes deeper. So it became deeper for me also, till I came across an incredible three-step formula that was put forward nearly 2300 years ago by the Greek philosopher Aristotle. He said, there are three steps to success, joy, happiness, fulfillment. Step number one, he says you got to have a definitive, clear, and practical idea objective or a goal. Once you have a definitive clear, practical idea, goal, or objective, then you need to have four more things. So step number two is four things, money, wisdom, materials, and methods, money, wisdom, materials, and methods. Step number three is you keep on changing Step number two, till you get to the outcome. When I first heard the story, nearly 20 years ago, I was struggling to find out what is the definitive goal? What is a clear objective? How do we have clear objectives when you are 20 years old, 25 years old, 30 years old? When I was 20 years old, I thought I had a clear objective till I, you know, was 25 and 30. And, and started to realize that after all, this is not the objective I had 10 years ago. Then when I was 14 years old, I was like, Maybe I don’t even know where this is all going. So how can you have a definitive and clear objective, to begin with, if you study successful people, they do?
And once they achieve that one idea or one goal, then they go and create much bigger and higher goals, their objectives keep changing once they accomplish a few along the way. So once they lock in on the objective, once they lock in on the idea, they just go around and look for wisdom, knowledge, materials, methods, and, and they are in that zone hustling it out. I have gone through that myself in numerous different adventures I had for myself in business and personal life everywhere. And now after 20 years, I start this formula is actually printed, it’s on my walls. In the morning, I wake up, I look at it and say okay, what method I’m going to call today? What materials are now not effective anymore? They were effective yesterday or a month ago or a year ago, and no more effective today. And they have become defunct? What do I change? How do I change? In fact, today as I’m recording this, this is a new camera for the spine. The other videos were done with older cameras, the new cameras, and the new material that I’m using to record today’s video. Constantly. I’m thinking every day in the morning that I wake up said okay, what do I need to change. And I’m always looking for some new methods that can improve and can take me to my goal, improve my situation, take me to the goal.
This formula, if I say had changed my life is an understatement. I want you to take a moment today and I want you to look into everything that you have got going. The first and foremost is that the goals that you have set for yourself are definitive or clear. Or the practical can you achieve them? It’s a question you have to ask them. Once you figure that out. Step number one is clear. Step number two, take your time, sometimes two years, three years, four years, five years depends. But then it’s worth playing. You know that timeline for 345 10 years, whatever the timeline is As long as you know that step number one is clear to you, and you know that once you achieve step number one, it’s going to set you free, gives you the freedom gives you the autonomy, whatever, whatever the end outcome is, you know, it’s, it’s worth going after that outcome. I hope today’s video is helpful. If I go anywhere beyond this point, then I’ll sound repetitive. If you like this video, if you have an idea, you have a comment by all means please please post it below this video. I’m going to personally respond to your comment. Worries Create Clarity Despite Overwhelm
Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
Today’s podcast episode is based on an interesting conversation and an observation that I recently had in a social setup. And here’s the backstory. A friend of mine invited me for a small ceremony that was happening in his house at his place. And he invited many of his other friends who I do not know. So he introduced me to all his friends, and one of his friends immediately recognized me. And he said, Srini, I heard you on the radio, and all I thought of talking to you, but somehow I couldn’t make time and things didn’t come together to talk to you, to meet you. I’m so glad I found you here. I was expecting naturally, because in the past, I had been in social setups, where I meet people, and immediately they start telling me about their issues, their problems, their challenges. So I was expecting something is going to come from this. And as I was expecting, it happened.
So he goes into a very deep story of his life, specifically about his career, job. And his children, and his parents in India, and his money situation, and the economy and the COVID. So these are five, six things all of us are dealing with, or many of us are dealing with, and very same story more or less the same story. See, for me, I have been questioned on the mountains in the wilderness, anywhere, everywhere, people have asked me questions. And every time I’m being asked something, I’m always willing to coach, I’m always willing to share. And nothing stops me.
You know, if somebody has the curiosity to learn, I’m going to go all the way I’m going to invest, invest myself into them. So for me, it was a normal day for him. He started explaining his story. And I could see his entire persona shift, like breaking apart as he’s telling me his story. And I would stand there for about 45 minutes listening to the story. And my job at one point, and he’s here, because he’s also there to meet other people and have a good time. And he’s getting into his story so deep. I was feeling bad. I said, No, I’m going to spend all the time that I’m there. And I’m going to give him everything that he needs so that he can go home from that point on. He’ll feel liberated, he’ll be taken out of his problems. That was my goal as I was talking to him.
So one of the questions, interesting things, many things he expressed, but then one thing that stood out is his employees and coworkers are telling him that he needs help. That’s not a good position to be in when your co workers and employees are telling you that you are falling apart, you need to go do something about yourself. So given the context, and given the situation, and given the way he was falling apart, my job there as a coach, as a mentor, or whatever role that I was playing in my mind at that time, or in that interaction, was to kind of give him some positive reinforcement and set him on a path so that he can feel good, and he can set his path from that point on feeling liberated. So that was my goal. One of the things is, I saw this individual getting worried about everything, if somebody is talking about six, seven things in one sentence, like Job economy, children, kid, wife, career, traffic, taxes, people talk like that, that means there are some deep disturbances happening. What is usually are manifestations of disturbances. So there is something seriously going wrong being with him.
So one of the first things I told him was, it’s okay to get worried. In fact, successful people are worried. Anybody, anytime you see somebody who’s successful, please take it for granted. They worried a lot to get there. Okay, but superficial worries, destroy people. And majority of the people, all of us, we somehow could not differentiate between what is a meaningful worry and what is superficial worry. So I taught him how to separate these two things. For example, do you have any control on taxes? You don’t. Do you have any control the COVID? You don’t. You have any control of the longevity and the age and medical challenges of your parents? You do not. None. What do I have control on? I have control on my work? I have control on my activities, my engagement, my interactions, and everything that I can do things that I cannot do, I cannot do. It’s in the hands up some other people. Why should I get worried? So I asked him, I told him, “Listen, why don’t you go home tonight. Kind of take a paper, draw a line on the left side. Write down meaningful worries and the right side, you write down superficial worries. And list all your worries, and categorize them into these two buckets.” What is going to go on the left side of the line, what’s going to go on the right side of the line? This gives you at least a perspective. Every day in the morning, you wake up, you say, Okay, I’m going to be worried about meaningful worries. No meaningful worries, they get you to success.
Now, all worries are same. Honestly, all worries are same. All worries, create overwhelm. All worries, create stress, anxiety, and all the other different things that come with them. So the nature the overall nature of every sing. But then, because some worries are meaningful, they get you to success if you stay with them longer enough. But along the way, meaningful worries do create clarity. That’s the big one. Meaningful worries, create clarity. Superficial worries, to not clear clarity, they take you into multiple different loops. And you keep on falling into this pattern. Eventually, superficial worries destroy you. So meaningful worries are key to success. Superficial worries, destroy.
As we’re leaving, and I pulled him aside and said, Listen, you need to have good health, I understand all your worries, it may not be possible that you just starting today, you will only focus on meaningful worries, and you ignore all the superficial worries, I don’t think you would be able to do it. But let’s say you do, still you need a lot of energy, you need a lot of power. Every time mind can literally take over every aspect of your life. So you need a lot of strength. And the only way for you to really get the strength is for you to start having a good health. So you commit yourself to eating well, eating right, sleeping right, working out right. And majority of these worries, even though they may not go away, but their effects on the body will diminish.
This was the gist of the conversation. I hope this is helpful to you. The reason why I kind of made a podcast out of it, not that I have not shared this before. If you’ve been to any of my seminars, workshops, you’ve been to any of my webinars. I have talked about this, this is not new. But this is something that happened recently. And this is very fresh on the top of my mind. So I took that and I’m sharing it here hoping that while it’s active on my mind, it may impact you positively. That’s all for now. You like to this podcast, write a review, rate it, share it. And if you have a question for me, by all means, let me know the number into this podcast and into my radio show and into my office is 888-818-0404. That’s all for now. Be safe wherever you are. And I will talk to you tomorrow. Bye now.
How To Build A Healthy Mindset
Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
On the podcast today, I have something that I’m talking from my site today, usually, I’m answering questions or a message or some discussions I have on the radio shows us with some people outside, offline in some social gatherings. But today’s podcast is directly coming from me. And this has to do with some of my observations with success. Now I sell success and my show Success with Srini and this podcast, it kind of gives a wrong impression to people as the listen to the podcast. Podcast is okay, for sure the radio show.
Success is what you define for yourself.
It comes across as if success means that more money, more of something, more positioning, more of role playing, and all that. And I don’t get enough time to clarify myself. And this podcast helps me to clarify my position on success, which is, success is not about just attaining something. You can’t be successful if your goal is to become happy. You’re not successful if your goal is to attain money or position, the society none of those things define success. Success is what you define for yourself. It’s a very singular thing. It’s a subjective thing. It’s totally up to you the way you define it. You could define it with spirituality, you can define it with happiness, joy, fulfillment, money, whatever it is, it is to you. And I have no right to talk about how I measure your success. See, that’s the beauty of success. It’s very singular, it’s very subjective. And it’s very individualistic. That’s the best way to define success.
It’s the mindset that defines success.
Now, there is one thing for sure. Which is needed to create any kind of success. And that is a mindset, apart from many other things, you need skills, you need resources, you need connections, you need many things. But the mindset is important. It’s paramount to have a mindset. And every show, either on radio or on this podcast on my blog. For the last 15, 16 years I’ve been driving. On my website, I’ve been driving. It’s the mindset that defines success. It’s the mastery that define success, whatever you apply yourself to, that define success. And of course, motivation does play a role. So mindset, motivation, mindset, and mastery, those three things are important.
Now let’s talk about mindset. Today on this episode, I want to share a few thoughts. Recently, I was doing a couple of speaking engagements. And also I was running a masterclass on this. And I was talking about the specific thing. How can you build a healthy mindset? What is involved? I want to share three things with you today that I have seen consistently. Recently, just about a week ago, somebody, a listener of my radio show, invited me to come to the city and wanted me to see his business. And I went there. The first thing I wanted to understand from him was his mindset. I started asking questions about his past and about his upbringing, about his transitions to America and all of that stuff. I spent time understanding him. And as I understood him, I understood some of his moves. And I could understand at the end, why he built a business he built and how successful a business he has built.
You got to give voice to your thoughts and your emotions.
Every time I meet an individual, I want to dial in into their mindset. And that’s the biggest message on today’s podcast. To study somebody’s mindset, see where they’re coming from. And if you catch somebody mindset, you can easily replicate their level of success in your life, if not exactly their success. So what does it take to build a healthy mindset? Number one, you got to give voice to your thoughts and your emotions. And I’ve shared numerous techniques on how to do this. One of the techniques I use is I write down what, how my day was at the end of the day. I kind of take it out. I also make a subliminal promise to myself that tomorrow, if I’m blessed with a tomorrow, I’m going to do better. So I bring my thoughts out, I bring my emotions out, and I want to close it out on the same day. So I get the whole day today. And at the end of today, I’m going to close out everything and tomorrow, it’s gonna be a fresh day.
See, philosophically if you look at it, regardless of which belief system you have, which scriptures you follow, and whatever your higher source that you connect to spiritually or religiously. Every night we die. And every day we are born. It’s interesting. Every day we are born. So we sleep, we wake up in the morning, we are healed from yesterday, and we wake up the new day with a new possibility. The sunrise is birth, the sunset is the death. It’s amazing. I’ve read this, I don’t know where but read so many books. And in one of the books, it was described so beautifully. So we die. And we are born so amazing. So why not be born with new set of thoughts, and new set of emotions, which are not encumbered with the previous day’s new possibilities. See the lessons from the previous day and previous weeks and previous months and previous years. Yes, they are with us. But we are born new the next day. And we can only do that when we resolve what’s happening today. So that we can be new tomorrow. So profound observation, the necessity for a great mindset.
Obey the laws of food.
The second part is food. One of the rules of life is to obey the laws of food. I see people making mistakes, how they eat, what they eat, where they eat, with whom they eat, and why they eat, when their system doesn’t need that food they eat, that has all their emotions, there is always something going on in their mind through food, food is therapy, food is recipe, whatever food is feeling. See, if you eat right, you will feel right. So if you eat healthy, you feel healthy. That’s a big, big contribution food has 90% of our whole existence is food, right? This whole fight is for food. Everything is food. So why not do it the right way. In order for you to have an incredible mindset, a healthy mindset, healthy food is important. That’s the point.
Negative thoughts at a time of weakness is dangerous.
The third element to this is negative thoughts. And I’ve done many podcasts, even at my seminars, they talk about negative thoughts, and how to overcome them. Negative thoughts at a time of weakness is dangerous. Negative thoughts. In other times, it’s okay. But at a time of weakness when something is going wrong with you. And usually many things are going wrong. When somebody is depressed and taken down. And they don’t, they don’t feel like themselves anymore. That means too many things are going wrong in their life. And at that time, that’s the point of weakness. And at that time of weakness, the brain generates these thoughts.
In order to have a healthy mindset. You want to pull yourself out of that state. And there are numerous ways you pull yourself out I talk about hypnosis, and meditation, yoga, different, different ways to approach it, but you need to pull yourself out. Now, we do pull ourselves out out of weakness. We all do, the brain hits multiple points of weakness throughout the day. And multiple points of highness of strength throughout the day. So our job is to identify the points of strength that we hit. And stay there. Try to calibrate there. So it’s not that we cannot sing, all of us can sing. But as we sing, we need to identify the right notes in that song. And we want to stay on those notes. And we do that consistently. We become good at singing. And it comes with practice. It doesn’t happen. For some it does happen. For most it’s practice. And that’s also true with thought manipulation. You need to pull yourself out of that negative thought at a time when you are experiencing weakness. And one of the techniques that I use is a small little affirmation. I talked about this before also in this podcast. For everything that goes wrong in my life.
I say, “so what.” “So what”, just two words. “So what”, try this next time when something is wrong with you and you’re processing some negative thoughts. Pause for a second it’s so what it has gone wrong. So what, it’s amazing. There are other affirmations too. For example, I use something called, everything is small, everything is small. Honestly, nothing is big enough to take you down. Say, in front of you, everything is small, your situations are small, your circumstances are small, everything is small. Even if you say something is big, it’s small. One small little suggestion along the lines of time of weakness and negative thoughts. If you engage yourself doing small things, small conflict, weakness, you need to do small things. It’s given we all need to do small things. But then our job while doing the small things is to look and opportunity to do the big thing. When you do big things or big in other words, important things. Small things, unimportant things, big things, important things. So you move from doing small, unimportant things to big important things. The transition is important, you got to look into everything that we’re doing today, and see where you can make that shift.
By the way, in every small thing that you’re doing today, there is a possibility of a big thing, which is an important thing. So don’t discount that which you are doing today, which is small and unimportant. Because right there, within that there is an opportunity to do something big and important.
In order to have a healthy mindset, you got to affirm to the positive.
And finally, one more thing as I wrap this up, in order to have a healthy mindset, you got to affirm to the positive. You got a fun to the positive. So one way, let’s say I’ll give an example. In I’m not feeling good today, and I’m feeling tired. That thought crosses my mind. I immediately reverse that line in my mind. And I’m feeling good today. Just reverse the statement, whatever statement is going in your mind. This relationship is bad. And this relationship is good. Wow. Right. Just reverse the statement. I wish I had a million dollars. Reverse the statement, I have a million dollars. I wish I had a better job. I have a better job. My manager sucks. My managers break. Reverse every statement that’s crossing your mind. And once you reverse the statement, believing it like a fun to that statement. When you do that, you’ll be nice to yourself. You’ll also be nice to people about whom you’re thinking. Because you’re formed that belief, right? Amazing.
That’s all. That’s all I have on the podcast today. I hope today’s podcast is helpful. If it is, write a review, rate it. Leave me a comment. If you have a question for me, you know the number into this podcast, and also to my office and also to my radio show, which is 888-818-0404. Call me leave me a message. And if you want me to answer your question, as a podcast episode, in a podcast episode using your voice as a voice drop, I’ll do it. And that’s how we grow. That’s all for now. You take care, bye.
