Solve Big Problems, Make Big Money

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

If you are a great professional, you work, and you work hard to make the money that you make, then today’s podcast episode is for you. Happy Saturday morning to you welcome back to success with Srini. Topic of money, I have not touched as much on this podcast ever, ever since we started this as a daily podcast. I did a few episodes here and there. But this is not a money podcast. So I don’t really go there. But when a question comes in somebody a listener asks a question or a part of some conversation, I take that as a responsibility to answer here. Today’s topic, how to make more money, this topic I already addressed in one of the podcast episodes just a few weeks ago. But then again, soon after that. Recently, just about like two days ago, I was on a consultation call and this topic came up, if I could make a bit more money a little bit more money, then I can deal with my situation with my problems in a better way. So I thought maybe I should kind of talk about this today. So let’s get into this.

The question is this. The question is, what can I do to make a little bit of money? And I don’t know why a little bit more money? Is it just not? Doesn’t make any sense. The question is, to make a lot of money. That should be the objective, that should be the goal. But when you say I want to make a little bit more money, then that means you don’t want to change your effort level, you don’t want to change your commitment levels, you don’t want to change your approach, keeping everything as a constant, you want to make some money, and you know, within deep within yourself that when you keep everything constant, then the possibility of you making a lot of money doesn’t exist. And that is where this question is coming from. By the way, this question is not from someone who texted me or emailed me this is from a conversation from a discussion. So let me reflect back on my own story, which I have done here multiple times. Years and years ago, I was in this situation myself where I wanted to make a little bit more money. And because I was new, and I did not know how to frame my question, I always thought that if I could simply make about three to $400 more, then many of my problems will go away. I will so this is such a silly thought $400 more a month, and my policy goes away. So you can imagine the level of thinking there and how naive and how in the center, I was thinking like that, only to realize a few years later, that no matter how much money we make, our problems are not going to go away. So I’m saying this year, I have said this here multiple times. And I have also heard other people say this too, which is if you cannot solve your problems without money, you can never solve your problems with money. Money is an easy target. Problem-solving involves a whole different mindset. And I don’t think money contributes at a level that otherwise we have. Or we are believing that it does, or we have been told to believe that it does. So that’s it. Years ago, I had this issue with this challenge. And I spoke to I asked someone, someone who was who I looked up to, let’s say is a mentor or let’s say he’s a coach. So I asked him, I said, What can I do? And this was the first time I asked him he did not respond to me. And two months later, I went back to him and said to have the same struggle, same problems, what can I do? And how do I make money? And this discussion happened over about six to seven months, multiple times. I went to him multiple times we had conversations and at some point. And I remember the last conversation I had with him. He said, If you keep on solving small problems, you will only make small money. So to make big money, you have to solve big problems.

I somehow couldn’t place it at the time. I thought I was solving the problems. I’m in a company. I’m working with a great title. And a lot of people come to me asking questions and I am in demand, I have a skill that is in demand. And I see a tremendous amount of potential. And that was my mindset. So, I never could really comprehend the answer. But when I look, and I look back on I see, you know, I’m amazed by the depth of that answer. By the way, this was pre-social media, this was pre, like, not pre-internet, but post-internet, but not internet at that level. This was the time when AOL, we used to receive AOL CDs at home. And every time an email would come, you know, you can hear you got mail, something like that. If you’re that old, you can relate to what I’m saying. So this was then, and there was no internet available. If you wanted faster internet, then you need to go to AT&T back in the day, it was Pacific Bell, where I used to live. And I had to get what is called an ISDN line like two lines so that my computer my internet is fast back then this was then. And so there was not that much access to information. But today, this concept of solving big problems so that you can make big money, that concept is rinsed and repeated all over the internet. So it’s not something if I say this, as you’re listening to this now, it shouldn’t be coming to you as a surprise. But the way I’m saying that, is because I experienced it as a surprise back then.

Now, when I look into what I do today, I don’t think that I solve any big problems. I’m not solving the world hunger problem, I’m not solving the energy crisis, I’m not solving the global warming, I’m not solving wars between countries. I don’t think I’m solving problems at that level. I don’t think I’m solving problems that are any which way closer to me, the things that I see happen on a day to day life, for example, the traffic problem and driving, I see traffic, my mind doesn’t go, what can I do to solve this traffic problem. There are so many such issues, for example, water problems, so many such things. I mean, it’s very difficult even as I’m recording Nazma saying it, it’s difficult for me to even from the top of my mind, I can’t but I do experience many problems on a day-to-day basis, which I should be solving. If somehow I can solve them, then I’m doing a favor to everybody because everyone is going through it in some shape or form because I’m going through it. And hence because I’m not solving problems at that level, my income doesn’t reflect that. But I knew this concept for a long time. And I was looking to solve big problems. But here is the biggest or I would say, the missing piece, the missing puzzle in all this. See, solving problems, problem-solving. Some people have this gift. Some people are born with the ability to solve problems over time, naturally because of existence, and because of experiences, they acquire that skill. But very few people know that problem-solving is a skill that can be learned. And this is something that I couldn’t figure out for a long time. It took me a while before I really started believing that yes, problem-solving is a skill and skill that can be learned skill that can be mastered. Now, once you start learning the skill, you start applying the skill in one area of life, and you can move it to other areas of your life also, which is very interesting. Very, very interesting. Now, what I want to do is I want to share with you a simple plan on how you can without going into expensive training or without really going through a lot of struggle can put forward a system in place at your own level within which you can start solving your problems or approach your problems with that framework. So here’s the framework. This is not mine. Again, this is something that I learned so I’m just sharing it with you. If it works for you. Give the credit to whoever created it. If it doesn’t work for you then blame it on me because I did not do A good job of explaining this to you on this podcast took as little blame goes, on me, credit goes to the Creator. Okay? As I said, problem-solving is a learnable skill that you can learn. But for that to happen, you need to put yourself in a position to love it. Very simple. Okay?

Now, and by the way, every time we encounter a challenge, and every time we encounter an issue in our life, our brains by default, try to solve it, we naturally try to solve our problems, and that’s the existence that’s survival. That’s how mankind has come this far. But very rarely, do we think of solving other people’s problems, we may, some of us succeed in solving other people’s problems. But then beyond that, we really don’t have the time or the energy or the, or the line of sight to solve the problems that the society we encounter. And beyond that, also, as humanity, we encounter very few people who think of solving problems at a humanity level. But everybody’s trying to solve problems at their own level. So that’s how the brain by default works. The framework is very simple. First and foremost, in order for you to solve any problem, you need to define the problem. And this is where most people really don’t, they don’t know how to define a problem. So that’s where they usually start with defining the problem. And once you define the problem, you start to understand the problem. So people write a jump in to solve it. Whatever problems you have, you know, you’re encountering a problem, you’re trying to solve it right away. And when you do that, then chances are, you haven’t yet developed understanding and you’re trying to solve it, when you try solving it, you’re going to expense, your energy and other resources you have. And once you expense them, it’s very difficult to get them back. And the longer it takes for you to get back the resources or build up the resources for one more time before you can solve it again. Now we have given more power to the problem, the problem is going on you. So it’s not that simple. That’s how it works. So you have defined the problem, once you define it, you need to understand the problem, and then come, okay, what are some of the solutions that I can develop for this problem? And a good problem will have tons of solutions. There’s not one, everybody’s looking for that one solution. But a problem, a good problem will have a ton of solutions. Now the challenge becomes saying which solution should I try first. And this is where the spirit of implementation comes in, you pick one solution that you think it’s going to work implemented, get the results, study the results if it makes sense, then you have now succeeded, that’s good. And if the solution doesn’t work, now go get the second 1/3 1/4. One. And that’s, you know, you keep applying, evaluate the result, and move on. Now, here is the tricky part, while you are looping through this, finding a solution, applying the solution getting the result, and the result is not in your favor, then you go back and try, you know, second, third, fourth solution. This is for one problem. Now look at life, life is in the meantime, and life is creating more problems for you. So this is a vicious circle, it’s very difficult to really get hold of. So you have you’re trying to solve a financial problem, suddenly you have a health problem, suddenly, something else. And within finances, you’re just solving one small issue. But other issues do exist in the overall space of finance. So you’re trying to solve an income problem, then you have an investment problem, you have a savings problem, you have a distribution problem. I mean, it just, it just never ends. And it’s what is called life. And it ends when we end and we are not ending soon. So this is as long as we have it all here. And as long as we are here. This is all that is going to happen to us. And we have to happen to live. But there’s one good thing from all this, which is as you keep on applying solutions.

And regardless of which solution works for which problem, at what pace at what frequency at what point in time, you become good at this. You become smarter at this. And you seem to have a level of competence with which you now feel that yes, you can solve anything. And the keys there are the keys to attaining that level of confidence. That’s all seen there are probably that cannot be solved. But just because you attempt at solving them, you should get credit for that. And the attempt in itself is a testament to your courage, your, intensity, your understanding of your character, and all that. So, coming back to the question, simple, if you’re not making money, and you want to make more money, and you want to, I suggest you look into making more money, and not just about some money, a lot more money, go look for problems that are bigger than what you’re solving.

Now, I’m not telling you to take problems at the humanity level but to solve it. Maybe at the interpersonal level, that’s where I focused by the way, what can I do to solve interpersonal problems? And that is how this coaching happened. That’s how all these things happened. But I was good at that space, at least in my mind. And I said, Okay, I feel good about this. Let me focus on this in this area, that’s all. Now you can take these principles. And once you start succeeding, within your space, you know, take that and go to other areas. Yeah, of course, and concepts are the same, and intervention at a family and family level. Good. Also, the same principle of intervention applies if you’re trying to solve a community-level problem. And a community load problem. From there, you can apply the same principle, same similar, same intervention technique to solve a humanity-level problem, or humanitarian problem, whatever. So you get the idea, you get the concept. So go change the problem, define the problem, understand the problem, come up with some solutions, apply them, check the result, and analyze the result. And then you start now, building this problem-solving mindset. A few weeks ago, I think a few months ago, I did a podcast where I said, I was doing this thing I said, this uber driver, who was making a good amount of money, he made a point to me, he said, I loved the money. I love freedom, but I don’t like what I’m doing. Because this doesn’t allow me to engage the part of my brain that is designed to solve problems. I go from point A to point B, and I’m done. But I cannot solve problems. And I’m not doing anything. So because I’m not doing I’m not solving problems. from within. I’m dying. So I like the money. I like the freedom but I don’t like that. I’m not using my mind. Which was profound. Okay, the fall. Have a wonderful Saturday. This has gone way beyond. I’ll talk to you Manana. Stay tuned.

Why You’re Not Getting Results: The Truth About Inaction??

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Happy Friday morning to you. Welcome back to Success with Srini. Before I start today’s podcast, I want to thank you all again, one more time and I will keep doing this. I’ll keep thanking you as many times as I can, for all your questions, all your comments, and believing this podcast, trusting that everything that I’m sharing here with you, and then asking questions. So I want to, as much as I’m behind on everything that’s happening here, you know, equally or more, I’m grateful for your participation in all this. So I have some exciting things lined up over the next few weeks. I don’t like to fill this podcast with guests, and you know, all that. But every time I’ve seen someone who is doing something incredible, something that has gotten my attention, something that has touched my heart, I want them to come and speak. So over the next few weeks, you will hear some incredible guests that I’ll be inviting. I have three or four at the top of my mind. I’m going to have them on the podcast. But today I want to keep it simple. And to the point it’s a Friday, it’s the weekend. So usually I don’t want to get into deep topics. I will answer a question today.

So and this question is something that has been in my inbox for a long time. It’s a long question, but I want to the I took the gist of it. Three things this individual is asking, I want to do, I can do I know I can do. And I know what to do. I want to do it, I can do it. And I know what to do. It’s just that I cannot get away with doing it. What is the cause? And can you help me? That’s the gist of this, this question. And I’m simplifying this because I don’t want to waste about three minutes reading this whole email, which is pretty big. And there is a backstory there is a current story that is a future story, quite a big description on this email. All of us go through this, we want to do things we know what to do. We know we can do it. But somehow something is stopping us. Now, this whole podcast is based on that. Over the years, everything that I have been doing is just specifically focused on this question. It’s interesting that I’m seeing more and more these kinds of questions that I have something within me, I know I can do it. I know I’ve done it in the past. I don’t know what’s happening with me, and how to address this pattern I’m seeing. Okay, so let’s get into the answer. Every time, something like this, my mind goes to transitions. Something is happening within you, or something is happening around you, your trunk you are you’re transiting from one phase of your life to the other. And you are caught in the middle. And this is the time that you’re in transit. And these kinds of questions come to your mind. So what it means is if you give enough time, this is going to go away. But people stay in this transit for a long time. That is where this whole thing happens. So what it leads to is, it leads to inaction. That’s all this question is all about, you know, why am I experiencing inaction? If I have to put this entire email into one question into one line, then I would say this way, I’d say I’m experiencing inaction. I want to know why. And what can I do to overcome sin action, let’s it every time you have this feeling of not accomplishing every time you have this feeling of having the strength, having the capability, but somehow not able to express somehow not able to bring yourself to the task. There are three things that are playing out somewhere within you somewhere within your either conscious mind or the unconscious mind somewhere within you are experiencing some kind of conflict. I wouldn’t say experience is the wrong word here. I would say not to share conflict. It’s not obvious to you yet. Maybe it’s in a latent way. It’s there. But a conflict is there. That’s where I would start. And for a second, if you say that there is no conflict, and you’re very aware of yourself, and you practice self-awareness, let’s say then there should be an element of confusion also. And as humans, we experience confusion all the time. Should I do this? Should I do that? What if I do this and not do that? What’s the consequence? I can do it, but I’m not sure how to do it.

But let me do it anyway. So confusion. If it’s very dominant, then it leads to inaction. When you know that you’re not sure about something and you know, the consequence of doing it without knowing is huge. Then you choose not to do and that’s an unconscious Batum leads to inaction, then constraints. You know, like, for example, I want to go run, I’m good, I can run, I can run 345 miles I do that I was doing pretty frequently. But then recently, I’ve started to experience a constraint on my leg, and I’m in pain. And if I don’t run, I don’t get the pain. So I’m trying to avoid it. So, such constraints do exist, there are family constraints that are money constraints that are time constraints that are spouse constraints, and spousal support, many such constraints exist. So sometimes we see them sometimes those these constraints are also invisible, see, conflict is invisible. Confusion is invisible. Constraints sometimes are invisible. All these three individually or collectively can lead you to inaction. And inaction is the cause for your feeling that you are not able to get ahead. This is where all kinds of other thinking set in. So how do you overcome this? Well, the simple simplistic answer, if I oversimplify this, then I’ll say this, go take action. But you can’t take action. Because, you know, it’s not just about effort. It’s not about physical stuff and internal imbalance. So there are some agreements that you have to make. And I want you to make an agreement right now. And one of the agreements that you have to make with yourself, is that whatever it is, it’s scarier. You didn’t describe the entire specifically this, this individual who asked me this question, did not describe what they want to do. It’s interesting, write a big email, but they don’t not specific. It’s a very open-ended email. You got to decide your purpose. If you don’t know, what you are meant for, and why you are here. And fine, you’re doing what you’re doing. If you do not know the purpose, then everything you do becomes difficult. I’ve seen people talk about techniques, I’m feeling a conflict, what can I do? Well, there is a technique to overcome the conflict. I’m always confused, or I’m specifically confused in this area, what can I do, there is a technique to overcome that, or there could be many techniques. But all these techniques fade out over time. Because the technique, and it works, when certain things are in place. But it’s not a permanent solution to the problem. So people experience a when, when they apply the technique, and the technique works, then a solution works. But then the solution fades away over time. And sooner or later, they find themselves back at the same problem, or the same problem, with a different flair to it.

So a perpetual way to overcome this issue is to find your purpose. The beauty of finding a purpose is automatically the mind goes to fulfill it if my purpose is to have a podcast that runs every day. And let me take it back. Let’s say my purpose is to influence the purpose of my life is to influence people. And there are a zillion ways to influence people. And there are zillion methods to do it a zillion ways and Chilean methods and zillion technologies and whatnot. But this podcast is just one. And this podcast has to happen in my mind every day. So you can say that you don’t need to do the podcast do something else. Yes, everything that because I said zillion ways I can do this, this purpose of me influencing people in a positive way. I can fulfill that in zillion different ways. But podcast happens to be the way according to me, in my situation, in my context, so this is the way for me. And I’m not saying other ways do not work. I’m not saying I’m not gonna do I’m not going to do the other things, either. All I’m saying is a purpose and a method to fulfill that purpose. Now, if you find your purpose, and you keep on trying to fulfill that purpose, then what happens is, the more you do it, the more you identify with yourself.

The I did identify with yourself is in itself a big task. People wake up confused because they can’t see themselves. I recorded a few podcasts on this already. People feel the call of Conflict more than it is because of their identification of themselves, their identity itself. People feel more confused because they don’t think that they have what it takes. And that comes from identity. So a more proven, comprehensive way to deal with this problem in action is to find purpose, fulfill the purpose, and along the way, build your identity. Now, there’s one other thing that I want to also highlight in all this. The reason why if you go, and if you stay with inaction for a long time, inaction does two things. Obviously, inaction doesn’t get to the result. But inaction also takes away the results that you created in the past. This is why people lose their peak careers, they go into a dip, and they stay there for many, many, many, many years, they just cannot come back to their prior selves. It’s not that they don’t have the experience and skill, it’s there, everything is there. But somehow something is missing, or something doesn’t fall into place. So they stay there. And eventually, they fade off, they go away. One of the things that you got to be very careful of when it comes to goal setting or going after your desires and, you know, setting yourself to take action and working towards certain outcomes is false beliefs, false beliefs, the cause separation, they will induce limitation. I have gone to a point in my life right now, every belief. So early on earlier, when I was uninformed, and I was young, I used to take every belief to be a true belief. Thereafter, I would try to validate the belief. Is this true?

Okay. And I’m looking for data points to match this belief. Now, In recent years, I’ve shifted my thinking now, I take every belief to be a false belief. And then I look for evidence. And I keep on looking for evidence till I’m proof that this is not false is true. Because if I lead with a false belief, then I’m not experiencing I’m preparing myself for separation and limitation. So, for example, I’m recording this podcast, and I’m not thinking that today is the best podcast. That’s a false belief. If I think that way, so I’m starting this podcast thinking I could have done better in answering this question. And I’m very short on this. Okay, internally, I go that way. So now I have allowed my mind to expect some level of separation. Separation means that, okay, so I’m not really 100% on this. And, you know, I know that you know, there are some limitations, I could have answered this question in a much deeper way, in a much more, with more completeness. But still, I’m doing it. And this is the belief I have, I’ve not done a good job. Okay. Now, as you respond back to me, and I start getting some feedback, that feedback is going to undo disbelief for now. But I’m still doing it, I’m still taking action, I’m still at it. I’m still recording this. And it sounds that this can be published, at least until now. Until now, I did not induce any confusion in my thinking. There are some places where I might have, you know, said things like, you know, you know, and a few places where I might have repeated myself, but overall, it’s okay, so I’m going to publish this podcast. And then with the belief that this was this is not my best work. But then when you respond back to me saying that, okay, I got the answer I was looking for or it is helping, then, now, in that at that moment, now, I’m going to hang on to this belief. Now, I turned my false belief into a true belief.

This is my current approach. But the truth is this, the more false beliefs you have, the more you will be separated. And the more you’ll experience limitations, how you change your beliefs. There is a podcast on this I’ve already done. If you’re interested, then let me know. I’m going to send you that link. It should be there on my YouTube channel. All you have to do is go to YouTube and search for beliefs, you should be able to see them. But if not, let me know I’m going to send you the link. I hope I answered your question. I hope you will let me know. And that’s all for now. I’m sorry, it’s a Friday. I should keep it small to the point and not deep but I think this is not deep but this is long so going enjoy your weekend and enjoy your Friday I’ll be talking to you as early as tomorrow right here on success with Srini. Stay tuned.

I Started My Podcast.. Now What?

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Thank you for tuning in. Happy Thursday morning to you welcome or welcome back to success with Srini. As promised, yesterday, I am taking up a question that has come in and has been in my inbox for a long, long time. This question came in in the month of May, I think, May or June, maybe May, I believe. And it’s not that I did not have the know-how to answer this question. I should. I was reasonably in a good place to answer this. But I was internally going through my own measure, I was building up myself to answer this. I think I am in a good position. Now to answer this question. This question is about podcasting. Streaming. I’ve been listening to your podcast for a long time. And at one point, I decided to start my Well, I decided to start my own podcast, which I did. But after three weeks, I stopped doing it. I only did two podcast episodes. I did not like the way I sounded. And when I did my research on how to get listeners, I don’t know how to find listeners. And when I did research, on how to find listeners on YouTube. It’s so hard. So can I be a guest on your podcast? Because everybody says that the best way to get listeners to your own podcast is to become a guest on somebody else’s podcast. Need your insights? Okay. This was a question from me. Here we are in September, I think I have some more data to talk about this.

Now, this gentleman, I believe, is not listening to this podcast anymore. Because if they did, then I would have gotten some more questions about what I haven’t. I’m not sure if they are. I’m just making this up. I could be totally wrong. I want to be wrong on this about this assumption. But if somebody doesn’t get an answer for this long, they will tune out. That’s my reasonable guests, I think, okay. Let’s talk about this. There are many, many sub-questions within this big question. So first of all, congratulations on starting a podcast. And I genuinely wholeheartedly mean it, I think every listener of this podcast to start their own podcast because if you’re listening to something, or anything like this, I think you have enough information within you that you can share with the world. So everybody has a voice, every voice has to be heard, I highly suggest you do. What topics to start? Well, let me give you my example. I could start multiple podcasts. And the reason why I stayed with this podcast is that this is something that I do every day. My passion is in this, this is my passion. I could start a podcast on business, entrepreneurship, and parenting, all different, different topics I could, but I don’t wake up every day thinking about those things. If you ask me something about business, I will answer your question. If you ask me anything about philosophy or success, I will answer your question, but there are things that I don’t wake up with. And for me to really stay in the game for a long time. I need to wake up in that mindset. So my mindset is, I wake up in the morning thinking about what can I do to make other people happy. Or what can I do to take away some people, some individual’s pain of suffering, I wake up in success mode, I am constantly thinking about others. So not a good thing to do. By the way, you should always think about yourself, okay, so don’t do what I’m doing. But do what I’m telling you to do. So because I wake up every day with that thing in my mind. That is my lifeline. So that is how I want to be easy. It’s going to flow, the content flows. And everything I do here is a one-take thing I don’t record 100 times if you do that, then you will give up and this is a daily podcast. I cannot sit here recording one episode 20 times trying to make it right. Make it sound good. I have every limitation. I record my podcasts in a car on the freeway, not freeway. I have not that I released it that way. But sometimes I do record three ways not to publish. But to get the main idea and main thought so that when I’m static, then when I turn the recorder on, whether inside or outside, I can flow with the content. I’m done. So I’m using my time as I’m driving around. That’s the point. I’m a one-take podcaster I don’t try to police myself as much. I won’t go into editing. I don’t edit my thinking This is who I am. This is how I sound. can I modify it? Can I change? Can I improvise? can I improve all this? Yes. Anything that you see on this earth can be improved. See, the world is very symmetric. You and I look alike. We have two ears, two eyes, a brain, and two legs. Every animal tigers are identical lions are identical. There’s a lot of symmetry on earth, but can they still be improved? Yes. Will this improve 1000 2000 years from today? Maybe 10,000 years from today? Yes, yeah. So anything and everything that you see to perfection, understand there is an element of more perfection in everything.

So I can, but this is why I’m this is how I sound. Now, is it possible that people who don’t like the way I speak will not listen to this? Yes, I understand that. And I respect that, too. So I That’s why I go on radio shows and tell people if you don’t like what I’m sharing on my podcast, don’t subscribe. Very simple, very simple. Ask. And if you fake that, ask, then you’re just doing. You know, I don’t know, you’re just wrong. You can’t fake it. So start with a topic that you are passionate about that you wake up, that’s my point, you wake up with that image in your mind of who you are, but be authentic when you’re doing it. So that time that you’re spending, the time that you’re putting in is, you know, doesn’t come across as if you’re making an effort. So I see people quit. Because they’re trying to be someone, they are not themselves. When you are yourself, then content will flow, ideas will flow, and everything will come together. Very simple. Where to find listeners, start with your family with your friends, start there. It doesn’t happen overnight. Very rarely, do I see people who really make it very big in overnight and all that. But it takes time it takes effort. It doesn’t. And that’s why people quit. That’s why easy to start a podcast, but very hard to stay in the invisible cost is the time that you put in. And you can’t put in the time and stay with it. Unless, if you if you think that people have to appreciate you all the time. They don’t. Not that they’re not listening. They are not making the effort to write a comment or write a review and all that. And if you go look at my podcast today, there are hundreds of episodes. By the end of this year, I have had 365 episodes, one episode a day, sometimes two. But I don’t know when I looked at my iTunes. I have hardly like 10 or 15 reviews. That’s it. It’s not like 1000s of people are giving good reviews or hundreds of reviews I have no. So I need to be extraordinary and have a tremendous big, huge footprint for that to happen. It doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time.

So you add one listener of the week, a month. My quality sucks. I hate listening to myself, You are not supposed to judge your quality. Okay? Don’t be hard on yourself. And let people decide your quality. And don’t listen to your podcast or to your recordings. If you’re struggling with it, don’t do it. Don’t do it. In the initial stages later on, maybe I listen to my recordings. I don’t like them. To be honest. If I listen to this recording, which I will, by the way, I will not like it, I’m telling you, but it is what it is. But this is how I sound in real life. And I have people who love me. Not everybody does. But whoever I have love me. So whoever you are, the way you sound, people love you. So stay with that. Don’t change your natural self, so that you can please people doesn’t work that way. Can I be a guest on your podcast? No matter which YouTube video I see. They tell that the best way to get listeners to your own podcast is to become a guest on somebody else’s podcast. I’ll tell you something. I have never, I was never interviewed on a podcast. I don’t think I ever was interviewed by anyone on a podcast honestly. Radio shows Yes. One or two, maybe over the years. But I don’t think I was ever invited to be a guest on any radio show. at a level that I from some by someone who said okay, Srini I need to listen to you on my show. Maybe once or twice, maybe two times. Genuinely, somebody invited me to be a guest on the show two times. I’ll take that back two times. If I remember properly. One time for sure. Two times. I’ll give it I don’t have the third occurrence of me ever showing up as a guest on somebody’s show. Yeah, I paid money to become a guest. Yeah. When I was trying to build My business initially. So I for sure, I have never been invited to any podcast. Not that I’m bad. It’s just that I never made an attempt. Can I book myself on hundreds of podcasts? Yes. How do I advise people to become guests on other podcasts? Yes. Can you spend money and become a guest on somebody’s podcast? Yes, you can. That’s the way the podcasting industry works. So you can pay and position yourself. But that doesn’t mean that we’ll get listeners. And even if you end up getting listeners, it doesn’t mean they’re going to stay. There’s a lot that has to happen for somebody to stay, and listen and engage with you. So can you do it? Yes. But will it work? I don’t know. Can you become a guest on my podcast? Yes. I have no problem having you as my guest on my podcast. But here is the criteria for this. As much as I tell you not to subscribe to my podcast unless you listen and you find value. Likewise, I cannot have you as a guest on my podcast, unless you, I know for sure deliver value. So go start your podcast, send me a couple of episodes. Let me listen. Let me fall in love with what you’re sharing. And I absolutely love what you’re sharing, then I will automatically have yours as my guest. In the past, I made this mistake of having, you know, people come on the podcast, and I interviewed them. And all they did was promote their business. I don’t promote my business on this podcast, which I could. But I’m not saying hey, go check out this link and sign up. I don’t do that stuff. But they did in the interviewing. And I’m like, don’t do that. People will listen to you, they love you. They like you. They love you.

They’ll connect with you emotionally, and they will reach out to you don’t promote this stuff. And let me tell you, that not 1000s of listeners listen to my podcast either. So not just because you listened doesn’t mean that others are listening. So don’t put me on the top of a mountain. As if, you know, I’m not, don’t put me on the stage, please. Okay. So, yes, start your podcast. And if you’re not done, and this is a message to everyone who’s listening, not only to you, but you already did start. But the key to success is repetition and frequency. And I said that multiple times here. If you do it one thing, the one-off thing here and there. It’s all going to work. Everything involves effort. Everything demands your attention, your time, and your intentions, just not once, but over an extended period of time. Please put in that effort, please, you will be surprised what happens. And don’t do it because you want something out of it, do it because somebody else wants something out of you. The secret to getting something in life is to give it away first. Now the secret doesn’t ensure that you’ll get something. The secret is that you need to give something away, whatever you want in return. And you got to give it away over a long period of time. And if something happens and is written great if something doesn’t happen, don’t worry about it because there was fun in giving things away or giving. So people donate because they derive something out of it. Not necessarily tangible stuff. That a lot of intangibles in our existence. We got to love and respect those intangibles.

Okay, I hope I answered your question. So go do whatever you’re planning to do. Tap into your passion. Yes, start with one listener, two listeners, and three listeners. growth is slow. Don’t judge yourself. Don’t listen to yourself. If you don’t like what you are, your voice and all that let listeners decide on you. About you. And yes, become guests on other podcasts and people will invite you if you’re good. I’m not that good. So that’s why nobody invites me. Okay. That’s it. You have a wonderful, wonderful day ahead of you, and I’ll talk to you tomorrow. Stay tuned.
