How To Calculate And Increase Your True Value In Life

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

In the last couple of days with this podcast, I have gone this route where I’ve been sharing with you some principles, some concepts, some habits, about self-worth, net worth, and all that. In all this, there is one thing that I forgot to talk about, which is value creation. And I want to spend a few moments today on the podcast and talk a little bit about value, how we created it, why it’s valuable, and why value is valuable. And how you can as a professional, as an entrepreneur, as a business owner, as a homemaker, how can you create that value within you, that is independent of everything else that’s happening around you. That’s the pursuit. So on this podcast, if you are a daily listener, or a subscriber, when you heard some earlier episodes, at one point, I said something like this, I said, inherently, nothing has value. It is all how we associate value with, that’s what defines how valuable something is to us. For example, a bunch of people got together and said, we got the next coin, which is better than the coins we have. And it is digital in nature. And it is known as Bitcoin. And hence, the last 1012 years now, since 10, 12, 12 years now. Yeah, told us to total 9, 13 years now, it is valuable, because we associated value to it inherently did not have any value, we give value, a bunch of people got together said, this house is $5 million, or $10 million. Why? Because whatever they use some criteria, they said, the good school district, it has great weather, it has a great commute, it has great hospitals, whatever it is, they associated some value, and hence it’s valuable.

Now, if I ask you what your value is, you will look into it, and you’ll say, Okay, I’m a professional. And I’ve been working in this line of the profession for last 10, 15, 20 years, and I have studied this, this is my experience, this is my qualification. And I’m better than many in my class. So I was a topper, I’m a gold medalist, whatever side. So you start putting these things, and there is a possibility that you already have these things on your resume. And you said this is my value, and hence you need to pay me this much amount of money, and whatever, right? So you define your value that way. But the question is this? Is it? Is it really your value? Or you’re more? How do we assess this? How can we independently define who we are without any constraints or any perceptions that are judging us, or that are evaluating us?

Now, the reason why I say independent value creation is because it starts with us. It starts with you. You define who you are, and the world will start rotating around you. How do you define who you are, because you are getting educated from outside, you’re getting qualifications from outside, you’re getting certifications from outside, and you’re going back and telling the outside, you have these with you that were given by outside to you. And you’re going back to see him outside and saying this is what I have. So question is, there has to be something inside of you, that should add some things to the things that you get from outside. So when you present that back to the outside, it looks bigger than what the outside gave you. So you took something from outside that you did not have, and you added something to it, and it gave it back to the world. And it is much bigger than what they gave you. That’s how you become unique. That’s how you become undeniable. So how do we assess that? So in my experience, working with people and working on myself, and going through the journeys that I have taken in my life, what I found out is my true value is how I spend my time. It’s not what I create and what I have and all that it is time is a huge factor in defining value. And when I apply time to myself, then what I do with my time defines my value. Well start with actions, my actions, my goals, and my engagements are what what all the things that I do with my time define my value. So time with myself defines my value, at least in my mind, and then I take the discussion outside, then time with others defines my value. So I’m spending time with you defies my value. So time with myself, that which I do when I’m alone secluded, away from everybody defines my value. And things that I do with you, the amount of time I spend doing what I do with you, defines my value.

So time with yourself and time with others. So time with yourself includes everything that you do for yourself, and time with others include everything that you do for them. So all the charities, all the contributions, all that defines your value. So there’s also another connection between these two things. See, when you are spending time with yourself, you are strengthening your beliefs. And when you are spending time with others, either you are creating new beliefs, or you are validating your existing beliefs. So if I’m spending time with you, I’m creating new beliefs, or I’m validating whatever I already have. When I’m spending time with myself, I’m strengthening the belief that I already have, when I say strengthening beliefs, it may include also taking some beliefs out that is not working for me, and all that. But this principle, this concept is a very important concept when it comes down to personal development. And I’ve read many books, I’ve studied many philosophers, many coaches, mentors, I don’t think anybody presented this concept like this. So if you look at value, and the way we associate value, it’s the value that the driver that created value is your belief.

A comet somewhere in the galaxy has absolutely no reference to anything. It’s doing its job. We thought beliefs, we associated value to it and said that’s 10 quadrillion dollars. And that is 700 times or 800 times the world economy or whatever that is or 10,000 times more than the world economy and the world economy is 140 trillion. This part of that was a belief. Okay, so the message on today’s podcast is this. I want you to look into all the things that you do with yourself in your time. And can you strengthen those? As you strengthen those, for example, you will run one hour in the morning, let’s say that’s your belief, you start your day with running with Iran. So can you strengthen that belief? As you run, even if you’re sick, you run, even if it’s raining, you run? Even if you’re, you’re on a train, right? You stand on that belief, you have to do it. That defines your value. That’s your action. That’s your engagement that defines your value. Can you stand on that? You go out and you believe in helping people contributing to people’s success, or giving away your time to charity? Can you stand on that? See, do these two things, irrespective of what you have, and the money you have the connections you have, whatever the qualifications, experience, or skill, you have skills you have, irrespective of all that magically, these two things will increase those that you already have. So amazing how the world sees you. Okay? Try doing this.

I hope I conveyed this. I hope I conveyed this. I hope you can listen, to where I’m going with this. I’ll stop here. I had something else to add. I’m going to come back tomorrow and do this. I wanted to kind of connect the value to your income. So I’m going to do that on tomorrow’s podcast. That’s all for now. Wherever you are, be safe. And I’ll talk to you as early as tomorrow. Stay tuned.

4 Daily Habits That Will Skyrocket Your NetWorth

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Yesterday, I started the podcast by asking you a question. How do you define your worth? Without talking about your net worth? Today, I want to also start the podcast by asking you a question, which is, do you want to increase your net worth? Yes, we are talking about money, you’re talking about wealth, and you’re talking about income today on the podcast. So if money wealth income is your goal, which should be, then today’s podcast is going to add to your understanding, that’s my intent. Specifically, I want to share five daily habits that you can bring in today. And you start seeing results over the next 30 to 90 days. So let’s get into this. I have done multiple businesses, I have this coaching training, and mentoring is one line of business, which I don’t pursue as much anymore. But over the last 20 years, I have dabbled with many businesses. And there are many lessons I took from all these businesses and one thing is consistent.

Here is my observation. He’s here is my conclusion at the end of all these, well, the end is not here yet. But if I look back, this is my conclusion. It’s not about the opportunity. It’s not about where money is, it’s not about the chase, none of that. This is about habits, you want to make money habits, you want to lose weight habits, you want to do anything in life habits. So is increasing your net worth. Increasing your net worth is a habit. And this habit has to be pursued daily. So I thought it was one. But then along the way, I have discovered there are four specific habits, that if you pursue, you will see your net worth increase as quickly as in 30 days, or as late as 90 days. Okay, so let’s get into this. The first habit is hustle and mindset. So you wake up in the morning, with a hustle in your mind. There are two layers of hustling. One is you caught to keep on looking for ways to add income streams to your life. Where else can I make money? What are the skills that I have? Assuming that you already have something that you do for eight hours a day, or 10 hours a day? So you have your job, you have your business?
Now the question becomes what else can you add to what you have already got going? So that’s the first thing, that’s how you wake up in the morning. The second is, now that I already have a job where I’ve worked eight or 10 hours a day, what can I do to increase the income for which I’m already putting the time in? So you increase what you already have. That’s the top. So you want to get to the peak. And then you are also looking to add, I would start with adding first and then raising the top line income. So this is the hustle, this is where it starts. So if you wake up in the morning, and you’re not thinking of making money. Now, I’m not saying that you need to make money and become to become greedy, or to become rich, and to prove a point none. This is a way because, in the back of your mind, money should be creating freedom for you. Money should be giving you the autonomy to do whatever he wants to do. And you’re not in this game to work for the next 30, 40, 50 years. Yes, you will be working till you are alive. I get that and I drive that point. But then you should be picking and choosing what you have to work on. You need to make the choices. You need to decide if I want to work on this. I don’t want to work on this a bad choice available to you if you have money. So it’s better to start respecting money. It’s better to start applying every minute of the day.

To create something meaningful hustle doesn’t mean that you need to make money hustle means bringing in that mindset where you start valuing your time, your actions, and your application of everything that you have within you to do the things that you want to do outside such that you create the wealth, you create the income. I’ll stop there, rewind, and listen to that. I want to go back and listen to this myself. I don’t like I said that. The second habit is investing daily investing. Here’s what I’ve seen some of my friends who really made it big, like really, really big. A friend of mine actually came with me together to America. And we started our careers practically on the same day, six years into working here. He said I’m going back to India for six months, and I can afford to stay there for the next 60 years. I’m going back to India for six months. I can stay there for 60 more years. I was shocked. I said, How did you get there? 60 years, he can stay there without coming. And my mind, he has to come here, he has a job here. So he has to come back and work anyway. He said, No, I saved every dollar I made. Every dollar I made, I was shocked. I said, how much the $600,000 I saved. My goodness, $600,000 You saved hearts. That’s a lesson, I did not have $60 in my account after six years. Anyway, so what I found out was, that he was investing on a daily basis, he was saving and investing. So the two parts to this, the top part is you need to invest pre-tax, the money’s coming in before you pay taxes, you need to invest. So the 401 K’s, SEP IRAs, all that you need to max out on the top, then you need to also invest at the bottom. The bottom means some change. For example, $5 $10 $20, whatever change is left on a daily basis, some money that’s left with you in your wallet that has to go into investing. And there are many apps today that will allow you to invest in change. If you want more information on this, let me know to text me I’ll give you all the details or maybe I’ll come back and do a podcast episode on this on how to invest change.

So you need to look into everything on top of the income. That means your pre-tax income coming in, and the bottom of the income which is you paid all the bills, all the expenses, everything, and now you have some money left. Where do I put this money, every dollar that you make from the top line income, every dollar that you save at the bottom, each dollar has to have an association has to have a name to it so you know exactly which bucket it has to go into. Rewind that and listens to that for a second. Okay, next comes the next habit daily habit. By the way, all these are daily habits hustling daily habits, investing daily habits, investing daily, and saving daily. A third is eliminating, so hustling, investing, and eliminating, well, are the two things you should eliminate to increase your net worth. On the top, you need to eliminate desire. At the bottom, you need to reduce anything and everything that you have. So you have multiple books, multiple racks of stuff, you know, whatever stuff you have in your house, whatever stuff you have in your closet, whatever stuff you have in your car, try to eliminate as much as you can. Because that which you only have to manage. If you’re managing something that means your time is going into managing something. And it was expensive. Of course, I live in California in the Bay Area. It was expensive. Real estate is expensive. I think everybody else too, it’s expensive. So got the desire, reduce your possessions. And you know, this life, in general, we all accumulate a lot and the majority of the accumulation happens without our knowledge without our conscious thinking unconsciously we accumulate and we live in what is the right word for this lifestyle inflation. That’s the right word. I was looking for lifestyle inflation when flickered the lifestyle cutter lifestyle. And the last one which is very unusual, which is actually an observation is my observation with myself, which is negotiate everything, negotiate everything, negotiate daily, a friend of mine who negotiates everything. It’s crazy. I mean, every time I talk to him about negotiating something, like negotiating air, or oxygen, if you can’t negotiate oxygen, he said, no, why not? I should try. That’s a joke. But yeah, he negotiates everything. So negotiate on the top, negotiate what you’re getting. So if you take up a new job, you’re starting a new business or you’re acquiring something new, negotiate. At the bottom, also negotiate what you have. You already have a job. You know, your income is fixed, go ask for a bigger income. ask for more money. You’re putting in the effort. Right? So these are the four things hustling, investing, eliminating, and negotiating.

Now, let me correlate these things. If you hustle. Well, are you bringing the hustle mindset, your investment will increase your hustle will also mean that you now are negotiating. So hustle increase investing, hustle increases your ability to negotiate. And investing will also make sure that you eliminate because your investments go right and you bring in the investment mindset. You will also see ways and means to decrease what you have. And all that which you save, or you make back from reducing, goes into investing. It’s wonderful to be in that loop. Try these four habits. Start from tomorrow, start with $1. Start with $100. Start with 1000, whatever you have, whatever you can afford, start with that. At least go negotiate your job, get a higher salary, and get some benefits, right? Figure out how you can apply these four principles across everything that you have got going and let me know. Okay, that’s all for now. Wherever you are, be safe. And I’ll catch you as early as tomorrow. Right here. Thank you.

How To Finally Start Accepting Yourself (The Truth About Self Worth)

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

If I ask you, what is your worth? What is your answer? Well, for an informed individual, it’ll be very difficult to answer the question. And the only way you will answer the question is by asking a question back to me, which is Srini. What do you mean by what? Do you mean my net worth, like the amount of money I have today? Or the money I’m going to make in my lifetime? What do you mean by what? And what if I say that remove money, and define your worth, you can’t use money as a meter. But still, you have to define your worth? Well, for that, the way you might respond back, is, maybe you look into all the knowledge you’ve acquired, maybe all the beliefs and values, the way you took care of your siblings, the way you took care of your children, maybe your parents, maybe the charities who did all that you will start looking other aspects of your existence. And you’ll come back and give an answer, which may or may not truly represent who you are. But you will try. So I wanted to do that today, once you’re done listening to this podcast. So I want to define your worth, without money. It’s very interesting, when we bring the topic of worth, money comes in, as if money has taken a big dominant position in our subconscious mind, it just comes in the minute we hear the word worth. It’s a good exercise to do. So I want you to do that today.

Now, the reason why I’m highlighting this today on the podcast, or this specific question, is because I want to drive a point that I’m seeing a lot in people, which is people take one small little thing in their life, and they associate their identity to it. For example, recently, they might have lost a business, or they might have lost some money in the stock market, which we are seeing now. Or they bought a house that went down in value. And for some reason, they say, you know, I’m not good with investments. I’m not good with business. So one small little event may be a big event, but one event in the lifespan. It’s a small event. But in the moment, it looks as if it is a big event. And suddenly they take all this, all these years of experience, all these years of existence, and all the stuff they accumulated intellectually, all that, and the ridiculous themselves in front of this one event. I have done it, I’ve seen people do it, I’m pretty sure this has happened with you also, that’s why I’m highlighting this because recently I had a conversation in these lines with an individual. So why take an individual part of your life. And why associate that or take that as a measure and measure your whole life’s what an individual part can be dysfunctional, and it is dysfunctional in every individual, there isn’t an individual who has everything going for them and perfect 100% Perfect, there are imperfections everywhere, all you have to do is open your eyes and look at the life.

A human being is a complex creature, creature creature and how to say that we are complex beings. You know, we are ever changing. We are dynamic. We have a complex construction. We create histories, we create science, we create geographies we we are complex, we are constantly changing. So if we are constantly changing, you are constantly changing. Why is it that you take one small aspect of your life and highlight that as if that’s your only identity. And that is the only thing that you should have done right? But you somehow got it wrong. And hence the whole life is a waste. I’ll tell you, this has a lot to do with labeling the way you were labeled. And this has to do, the way you were raised the situation into which you were born, the circumstances through which you grew up, and the people who influenced you your early thinking. And also even today as an adult, maybe maybe the people around you who you talk to also influence you in a certain way they label you. It’s very hard when people when you start living to other people’s perceptions. You don’t create happiness, you won’t be happy. So you got to live your life.

I remember, you know, my mother, God bless her soul, you know, always used to say, and used to compare me with my three cousins and three mil cousins. And that’s all she used to do. She never compared me with my dad. She never compared me with her side of her family. None of them. She always used to compare me to three of my cousins. Who are my like my father’s elder brothers. My uncle’s my father had uncles children, and I never understood this logic. And today when I have grown up, it’s moving around seeing the world and dealing with human problems. And I look back and say why did seed Do this. That’s the label I carry. So later on, when I grew up everything I do today, right, my first thing my mind goes to is to these three cousins. Nobody else, even though have so many other cousins, and they all are doing incredibly good and whatever they are, wherever they are, but I was not compared to them. So my mind doesn’t carry that reflection. So the label doesn’t exist in me. And I spent a lot of time trying to remove such labels out of my thinking. It’s very hard to do that at this time.

So one of the things that I want to tell you share with you on the podcast today is it stop processing labels, and start resisting labels. If somebody says something to you, that you know, deep within yourself that that’s not true about you, you got to stop it. And also you from your side, you start thinking that, you know, I’m good. And I’m perfectly fine, you start accepting yourself. So every individual in the times that we are in, and thanks to social media and all these things that are coming at us, you’re a nice guy on social media attack, you’re nice gal on social media you’ve attacked. And even though you have good intentions, you want to just be yourself, you will be attacked. So at a time, in the time that we are in right now, it’s important that you start a self acceptance routine that you practice on a daily basis. And I did multiple podcasts on self acceptance here. But then I want to give you an overall idea as a part of today’s podcast episode, such that you don’t grossly over generalize yourself and start living the specifics. The specifics are this you are unique, you’re different. You have skills, you have talents, you have good times or bad times, you have good tastes, you have bad tastes. You have good people, you have bad people, you will have good circumstances, you have bad circumstances. And you have good money and bad money. Good money, no money, some money, no money, some built mobile, some success, most no success, some failure, whatever.

So you swing between all extremes. And it’s perfectly fine. That’s how life was designed. And that is okay to be that way. So what kind of self acceptance routine? Are we talking? Number one is that you are changing. So today, it’s it’s a Sunday, tomorrow, it’s gonna be a Monday. It’s an evening now, tomorrow, it’s going to be morning. It’s morning, right now, when I’m recording this. So chances are I’ll see this evening. But I see it or not, it’s going to change. That’s the truth. So if you’re changing, and change is happening, why not change for better? Okay, you, like everybody else, is what can process you. If you make an attempt today, you could work in progress, not just process, but in progress. And, you know, all the external events that are happening around you. They’re happening in a way such that you take them in into you. And you start creating internal strength and internal understanding and internal association towards the positive.

So if you start thinking, these are very high, high level things, but if you start positioning your mind that way, this is one of the self acceptance routines is that everything that’s changing around is happening for me. So when we talk about change, whether you like it or not, change is happening. And we already we know that anything that you’re going through right now is going to change, good or bad, we do not know. But things will change, things are changing. So one of the things that you have to bring in is just because you smoked once in life, you’re not a smoker, just because you had one, business failure doesn’t mean that you are not a business owner, or you cannot run a business, just because what you had one failure, just because one transaction, one stock trade went wrong. And because the market went wrong, doesn’t mean that you are a failed investor. Okay? So think through that. And now because you are changing and you are progressing, and the process is happening, and every change that’s happening externally is going to be used internally at strength. Why not read some books, by not bringing the right stuff into the thinking such that you raise your worth? That’s the point. Okay,

I’m going to stop here. Hopefully, this is helpful. I’m sorry, when I clap, I get excited a clap. I don’t know why. And if you’re listening to this on a headset, then maybe this is going to create some trouble for you. But my apologies. I didn’t mean that that way. But anyway, so hopefully this is helpful. And if it is, let me know you’re watching this on YouTube. There should be a place for you to write a comment. And you’re listening to this on a podcasting app. This would be pleased for you to write and review this podcast please do it for me. And that’s all for now. And I’ll be catching you tomorrow Saturday that’s all for now okay you take care. Bye now.
