How To Win In Life – Part 1
Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
Welcome back. Happy Monday morning to you. Today, the 1st of August year 2022. As I’m recording, and start a new month, start a new week. So yesterday on the podcast, I said, for the next three days, we’ll be talking about some insights into life and career and business, essentially how to win in life. Well, this podcast is all about winning in life anyway. But then I was referring to a slide deck. That was from the year 2016. And I put a few slides together. I talked about one of the slides a few days ago, today, tomorrow, and the day after or the next three days, I’m going to talk about three specific slides from this slide deck that I prepared and presented in 2016, at one of my seminars, and I was talking about how to win in life and in business and career. So if this is something that you’re looking for, then today’s podcast and next two days are going to be very important for you. So let’s get into day one. There’s a part one of this principle. So let’s get into day one or part one of these principles. There are four principles specifically I want to talk about today, the remaining ones will talk tomorrow, and the first one goes like this.
You see, we meet people who always complain. And the chances are, you are also complaining about things that are happening to you things that you are being put in right now, which you may not like. There is nobody listening, honestly. So do not complain. And do not criticize either, because nobody is listening either. So you criticize someone, it’s you expressing your emotions. Nobody cares about you criticizing someone you care about. You want to express, you want to release that emotion. So don’t complain. Nobody’s listening, do not criticize. Nobody’s listening. Even people pretend to listen, I promise you, they’ll turn around. And then next 30 seconds that everything that you said is out of the system. So there’s no point you’d rather own up, you take responsibility, you do things, do not complain, do not criticize, if you want to win in life. The second, every time you give any appreciation, and I’ve talked about this here, numerous podcast episodes we have done in the time will appreciate anyone, you should be appreciating people a lot. Anytime you do that, make sure that you are coming from a place called Heart appreciation is heartful. And it’s coming from your heart. People pass a lot of fake appreciation that doesn’t work, and does more harm than it does any good. So any appreciation has to be from your heart. The next one is your job. If you do not do your job, well, let’s say you are not happy, you’re not productive, you’re not effective. Whatever you’re doing, who knows why you’re doing what you’re doing, and it simply seems to work, but you just don’t see yourself in it. The job above your job is to only do one thing, which is to create enthusiasm.
Do you see how I started by saying you’re not happy? It doesn’t matter. You’re happy? What kind of pensive emotions you are processing right now? Your job is to create enthusiasm. So imagine me going through a very bad time. I’m doing this podcast every day, for the last several months, all seven months, I couldn’t keep my emotions in place. I had some good days had some bad days. And I’ve gone through all emotions as I’m a human too. So I go through all the motions. But then my job here is not to come and make your job miserable. My job is to come and make your life amazing. So no matter what I’m processing, I should be coming here and creating enthusiasm. Otherwise, I just pass along whatever I’m getting, there are people who are giving me some strings that they shouldn’t be giving. And I shouldn’t be giving those things to you because I got them. I need to keep, I need to police, I need to block those things that are not going to help you. And I need to only pass along those things to you that will empower you that will give you or create possibilities in you. So your job is to create enthusiasm and my job today is to create this enthusiasm you know talking about enthusiasm, you cannot create enthusiasm unless you create eagerness in people. So, I would also want to add these two things enthusiasm and eagerness in people. They need to be eager. Otherwise, you don’t have their attention. You don’t have the attention you cannot create anything for them. And the last one is every time you see any improvement place in the slightest, smallest implement praise. And praise is proven to create miracles.
So every opportunity, your job, in fact, as a leader, as a manager, is to keep on looking for opportunities to praise. And your job is to keep on looking for things that people are doing incrementally better. So every time they do something incrementally better some improvement you see the place. Here is what I want you to do. So I want to stop here. As I said, I want to share four things today. I want you to listen to this one more time and see what can you do right now. Now that you heard this podcast, what can you do? What can you implement from this one, these four things?
Tomorrow one is going to be a little bit bigger because I have deliberately kept a little bigger concepts for tomorrow. But today, whatever you heard here on the podcast, I want you to apply one thing so. So what I want you to do now is I want you to go and play someone. That’s it. That’s all you have to do. Your children, your spouse, your wife, your husband, your partner, whoever. If somebody is far away, make that phone call, and praise them. For some reason, find an excuse to praise them and see how your life is gonna change at the moment. It is amazing. You know, they can’t stop, they’ll praise you back. That’s how this works. Okay, so I’m going to stop here. Wherever you are. You have an incredible, wonderful day and I’ll be catching up with you tomorrow with part two of the series. Stay tuned. Bye now.
There’s No Shortcut To Success: 7 Months Later.. Here’s What We Know It Takes
Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
Welcome, or welcome back. Happy Sunday morning to you. Today’s July 31 the year 2022. As I start this podcast today, as I record, I want to sincerely express my gratitude to you, the listener to you, my friend, to you, my supporter, whoever you are, maybe you are here for the very first time. And this is the only podcast that you’re listening to for the very first time. Regardless, it doesn’t matter. Thank you for everything. Today, this podcast completes for seven months. On January 1st, 2022. This podcast became a daily podcast, I made a commitment to myself, I said, I’m going to do this podcast on a daily basis for one full year, without taking any breaks, no Saturdays, no Sundays, everyday difference. My initial understanding was that I will run out of content, I will run out of motivation, maybe in a month. And I will run out of content in maybe two months. Because I did a similar attempt in 2021. And I gave up after six weeks. So I knew the pattern, my job was to just do a little better than 2021. But I never imagined that this will come in seven months. And there are a few things I want to drive here. First of all, I cannot do this without strong participation from you. So the credit goes to you with further questions for your comments, for keeping me on my toes.
One time, I uploaded a podcast with some loud music on YouTube. And somebody responded back saying, should I listen to your podcast on YouTube, and your volume is high? And the music background music is high. So I had to, we had to take it out. And we had to reprocess the music and put it back on. So every little thing that went wrong, you corrected me. So the credit, the motivation, the support you gave me, the credit should go to you for that. I also want to thank my team who supported me through this process. If not, these things don’t happen because somebody decided to make them happen. So as much as our ideas are important, our commitment is important. Likewise, people are important. We cannot create anything significant unless we have the support and the contribution of other like-minded people. This is the biggest lesson I took from this podcast. I also want to say something, you know, I’m a student of success. And I listen to many other people who do some incredible things much better, much mightier, much greater than what I do. I don’t compare. I don’t contrast myself. But I simply derive. And yesterday I made a point I said model excellence, I try to model excellence as much as I can. So when you are modeling excellence, when you are following someone will listen to someone, and you will start to see flaws in them. You see people make mistakes, so you’re in a relationship. And you are in a hospital for children, with your spouse, with your parents. The longer you live with them, the more you start to realize that they are at fault, they are not perfect. They have their own issues going on. They have their own little, you know, they have great things about them. But also they have that nonsensical side of them.
So if you listen to this podcast, you know that I have a nonsensical side of me too. It’s not that I’m perfect. So I miss my thoughts. I miss my ideas. I make a point on day one of this podcast on day 22. I come back and say the exact opposite. Because I’m growing. And my mind is not exactly at the same point. The more people talk, the more the risk is they contradict themselves. But the key is not about what somebody is saying the key is the essence. And I’m hoping that you have focused on the essence. And you did not go with the semantics. I’m not a good speaker, I don’t present Well, I’m still learning this process myself. I’m not coming from a point of leverage, or a better point. Or I don’t even have a better point or a better standing. So this is all a lesson. Now, one thing I wanted to test was whether I have the consistency when I say that I can create I can keep the momentum going. Or I can improve myself. The data was about me. It was not about the data of this podcast, how many downloads, how many people are listening, how many blogs comments, none. In fact, my wife said this to me. Hey, every time you say that you have a question and you answer. Now I’m starting to wonder whether you have anybody really asking you a question.
I said I wish, I wish I was I actually turned it around. I said, does it matter? Technically, it shouldn’t matter. But then, the truth is yes. You know, a lot of questions coming in. But luckily, I’m in a position to do that. But in a position to get those questions, but then even if somebody doesn’t get questions, they can also start a podcast. And they can say that they have gotten questions, because, guess what, at any point in time, either you’re asking a question, or you’re answering a question. If you take your life, your day, your one full day, 24 hours, and you break it up, you know, 50%, you’re asking questions, and 50%, you’re answering questions. Most of the time you are asking a question to yourself, and you’re trying to answer it. That’s what it’s called life. There’s no other better definition of life. As humans, we are asking questions, and we’re answering them in life, a hard-lived life. You walk on the streets, I’m from India, you go into my village, and I see farmers working so hard. And guess what they’re asking a question. A farmer, who is farming is asking a question, and constantly working every day to answer that question. This is how life is, there is not a secret sauce to life. So thank you for everything that I mean, I don’t even know some of you have become my friends. I mean, I got some incredible listeners of this podcast to become, you know, friends in the soul connections I’ve made on this podcast is beyond comprehension. So thank you for all that. That’s all.
In fact, I was thinking, I want to come here and do something incredible. But if I have to leave you with a couple of observations about this whole process is number one, set your intention, whatever you’re wanting to do, whatever you have, that you’re designing you, whatever you desire to do, to start setting intention, and work slowly, but consistently, but incrementally, slowly, consistently, incrementally, keep the momentum going, have great conversations, learn the process. And even if you are not able to get it right, the first attempt, keep on trying, keep on attempting, till the point where you feel that you are better than the first attempt. Okay, you’re getting better than the first attempt, don’t compare to somebody else’s, and the attempt doesn’t work. So as long as you’re better than the first attempt, you now have a positioning. Now keep on working at it till you become better than your second attempt, and keep on doing it till you are better than the third attempt. And that’s how you get better this, there is no other secret to this. And how do you walk a journey of you know, 1000 miles, you start with step one, how do you eat an elephant with one bite, right? So these courts have been around for a while. And there are so many different philosophies, talking about starting something, accomplishing something, and all the numerous stories that we grew up with. So there’s nothing else I’m telling you here on sharing with you that’s so unique, so different. They’re all the same stories, they’re all They’re all the same content, completely rehearsed and represented in a whole different way through this podcast.
That’s all there is to this. If somebody claims that they are incredibly deformed, something great, something unique, maybe they did, respectfully, most of it is, is anyway. It’s all you know, the cycle. So that’s the message for today. So thank you for your support. So starting tomorrow on this podcast, I’m starting a three-day series, talking about winning in life and in business. So three different podcast episodes, talking about winning in life and winning in career and business and all that. So I want you to these are some lessons I’ve picked up myself in my life career and my business. I’m sharing them with you. So there’ll be part one, part two, and part three starting tomorrow. So that’s what I want to tune in to. And if you’re tuning out, I want you to listen to the next three days and then tune out. Okay. So that’s all for now. Wherever you are, be safe. Thank you for your questions. Thank you for your support, and I’ll be talking to you soon. Take care. Bye now.
How to Reconstruct Your Life in Just 7 Steps
Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
Last night, I was searching for some documents. And I came across this PowerPoint presentation, the PowerPoint deck from 2016, early 2016, I was doing an event I remember. And this was a deck that I was preparing for that event. And I opened the deck. And one of the third or fourth slides on this deck caught my attention. Because I put in a lot of effort to create this slide. And I thought it makes sense to talk about it on today’s podcast. So here’s the backstory of the slide.
A year prior to maybe three months prior to this event, I had a gentleman come in to consult with me about a problem he was going through. And the conversation starts like this. I don’t like my job, I don’t like my car, I don’t like my house, nothing that I have I like, and I want to change all of that. And I keep hearing you on the radio, that hypnosis can change your life, transform your life, and all that. So I wanted to give it a try. And here I am. I said, are you thankful for anything that you have? Not really, you know, did not have a good, you know, childhood, not great education. Somehow I got into us because there was a lot of hiring going on. Not that I have any credentials. Somehow I stayed in my job. Somehow I bought a house somehow, somehow, I don’t like anything, I want to change everything. And along the way, as this conversation progressed, I tried a few things with him. And then I said, it’s easy to keep what you have and modify it, rather than trying to recreate or create something new. So you can recreate what you have, that’s easier as compared to creating something totally new. For some reason, he was hell-bent on creating something new, shall I start a business Shall I leave and go to a different city something some, something new, he wanted to create, and he and I kept on telling him Listen, it doesn’t matter where you go, your destiny is going to follow you and all that. But it’s easy working on something that you already have within you, rather than trying to bring in something that you do not have because it’s going to be expensive from taking time. So I was driving back. So then the way we ended that conversation was I told him, I said come to my seminar, and I’m going to have something for you. That’s going to make sense. And three months later, I was getting closer to the seminar, and I realized that this gentleman is going to come there. And I do not have a structure to explain to him how he can reconstruct his life. Hmm, how can I teach this man who is coming into this event how to reconstruct his life, I wanted a format, I wanted a structure. So this is how I put this slide together. So there is a lot of effort that went into it.
Now, let’s get into this, what is the slide? So this slide is about reconstruction, to something that you want to if you believe in the principle that you have what it takes within you. And all you have done is you have not yet explored that side of you, then it’s easy to kind of dig deep into, let’s say you have a lot going on with you. Okay, and you accumulated a lot of experience knowledge, no harm and all that. But then you really never mastered it, or you never really put this in a way where it created the confidence and self-esteem in you, which really gave you the identity, then this slide is going to make sense. So I’m going to go through this very, very quickly. First and foremost you keep doing what you’re doing. Don’t try to bring anything else into your life. You keep doing what you’re doing. And you preempt everything with an outcome question. So you woke up this morning, you went to the gym, you are going to work or you’re cleaning the kitchen or you’re doing the dishes, whatever. Ask what is the outcome. What happens if you clean the dishes? Okay, your husband or wife will become happy, okay? Your kids will become happy and then you have better control your time later on. And you have a clean kitchen for yourself, whatever it is. So everything that you do has to be preempted with an outcome question, if I do that, I’m going to do this, what is the outcome? The outcome is not simply just doing it, the outcome is something else that is much bigger than the work itself. So preempt everything with an outcome thinking.
Second, you got to have one mastermind conversation with somebody who has some mastery in something on a daily basis. I have many people in my life who have incredible mastery in everything that they do. Some people have multiple levels of mastery, just not one. I make an attempt to talk to one in virtual, who has some level of mastery in it, that Master has nothing to do with me, Masters talk and think differently. It’s not about, I’m willing to talk to a neurosurgeon, and have no idea, no knowledge about how medicine works, and have no access to how healthcare works myself, I’m more than happy to talk to a neurosurgeon, I am more than happy to sit down and talk to somebody who is working at NASA does some critical design of the flights and aerodynamics and all that I have no knowledge in that field, but then I’m willing to sit down and talk to them about life or something, whatever, just because they bring a whole different level of energy. So try to talk to a master once a day, if possible, regardless of what level, what profession they’re in, or what is their, their core affiliation.
Regardless of all that, then I would spend time on a daily basis, some time to master the science of communication, this podcast is all about that. The podcast numerous times talked about communication, I spent time learning the principles of communication, at least daily for some time, not a lot, then I will make an attempt to influence people around me with integrity. People influence others with money, people influence others with many other things. But it is not proven that only the single most significant tool that you need to influence people around you, is already within you. And you don’t need to learn this anymore. Because either you have it or you don’t have it, but most people have it, which is integrity. So be integral to who you are, and everybody around you will gravitate towards you. And we’ll do things and we’ll take your command and will obey all that, whatever it is. So you’ve got to be integral, then practice, persistence, whatever you’re doing, keep on doing for a long amount of time, mostly, there are no results, there are no results, there is nothing significant, that’s going to happen overnight. And if it happens, it’s a fluke and you don’t want that you want something that’s going to that you know for sure is going to work. And you know that it has come at a cost at a price and you know that it’s going to be with you long after that you can enjoy. And you know, it’s proven. So it needs some time. And then once you aren’t persistent with whatever you’re doing, the next thing is you got to maintain momentum, maintain momentum, whatever you started, just keep on doing over and over and over again, consistency and momentum. Okay, keep pushing, pushing the boundaries, but then keep on the pace going. And then the last one, you got to model excellence, anywhere, everywhere, wherever you see some excellence happening, got to model it, got to model it. There’s no shortcut.
Now, there are seven things in the slide, there are seven points I shared with you. If you simply do number one, and number seven, and ignore all the five in the middle, you will have an incredible life. I have ignored several things in the middle. And depending upon where I am, at any given point in time, I may not do all seven. So if you remove all the five, and you simply start today with the number one which is preempt everything with an outcome thinking, and then to the last one, which is model excellence model like modeling excellence could be from you, you’ve created something, you did something that came out to be amazing. model it again, model it again, keep on repeating it. So do number one, do number seven, ignore the five in the middle, and you will have an incredible life. I hope this is helpful. I hope, the pain agony, and effort that I went through to put this together is coming across the way I’m expressing this. Hopefully, it is hoped that’s all, in fact, there are some more slides in this deck. And I found them too. So I’ll come back and talk about them tomorrow. Thereafter, we’ll keep this going. Okay, and crazy. I’m just coming to the end of July of 2022. And this podcast is running daily. It’s unbelievable. At least what a week consistency I think I don’t know. I’m trying to keep the momentum going.
That’s all I’m doing. And thank you for your questions. Wonderful. Keep those questions coming. And we’ll keep this moving. And I’ll do whatever I take whatever it takes on my end to do whatever I can to contribute to you your success. That’s all for now. You take care of yourself and I’ll be talking to you as early as tomorrow. Stay tuned. Bye now.
