Plan The Plan 2023: 4-Steps To Ensure Your Success

Happy Monday morning to you welcome back or welcome to Success with Srini. start of a new week. So as we’re coming to the end of this month, the month of November, and just a couple of more days left in this month, and soon, we are going to be in the last month of this year. Now this month, November is not going to come back anymore, December is going to be the last month. And this year 2022 is not going to come back into our life anymore. So we say goodbye to this year. And we step into the new year. And this is the time when things, at least in my mind, they’re starting to boil up. And I’m thinking about what my 2023 should look like. And I’ve been debating this a lot. And if you are a regular listener of this podcast, you can go back to September, and October, I was kind of warming myself up and talking about things that I need to do. And I was innovative in telling everybody, all the listeners of this podcast to start taking this year, the remainder of this year very actively.


So I get a little anxious as you’re stepping into December 30. Or days left in this year, and I need to really get my hands on all the loose ends of everything I started this year. I know how this year went for me. And I know that you know how this year has gone for you. Now I talk like this on this podcast. Because I think and I in a way, like conclude in my mind that every listener who listens to this is a success-minded individual. If you are not then there is no value in there is not much you can derive from this podcast, honestly. So you are here you’re listening, it means that you care about your personal growth, your professional growth, and growth in general, you take yourself seriously, you make yourself accountable. And you know you could do more. And that is why you’re here. So one of the things that I’m thinking, and in a way also I’m doing now because this has been on my mind for a long time. And I’m almost started looking at this to plan my 2023 and I talked about this also multiple times. But then just planning 2023 is not going to work. And that is why I came up with the title of today’s podcast plan the plan 2023. So there is something that has to happen before you put any plan for next year. That’s the point. There are four specific things that I want to share with you that I am doing right now. I spent the last couple of months extensively and in fact, right now, as I’m recording today’s podcast last night, also I was going through this I wanted to really get a complete total understanding of where I stand right now. I want to know my circumstances, I want to know, my resources. I want to know if my capabilities have diminished, have enhanced. Did I really gain stuff? Did I lose stuff? No. Where do I stand precisely as I’m entering next year?


Now, this is a long exercise there is there has to be some time dedicated to it. I don’t think I have done enough on my mind. But I’m telling you right now, if there is nothing else you are doing between now from today which is November 28, 2022. between today and December 31 of 2022, You have nothing planned for yourself, you’re taking it easy, you’re taking it lightly, then I want you to think and ask only this one question, which is where am I right now? This question has to be answered. And there has to be a deep congruent internal agreement between you and your higher self on where you stand with things that are happening with you and that is around you. It’s very important to get a proper read of everything. Once you do this, I think I’ve done it, I’m telling you, I’ve done this multiple times over the years, but this year is different every year is different every year is different. Now once you get this in place, the next thing and tell you why you should do this. The reasoning behind this is it is not to do more. The idea is not to do more. The idea is not to become a Superman next year or a superwoman It doesn’t work that way. If you are, and you are, who you are. And you are a true listener of success. I’m not saying you’re a practitioner of success, you’re a listener of success, then you should know by this time that this is more about letting go than letting in. So the reason why I need to know where I stand is that I want to do something which has to let go. So I need to drop a few things. The idea is to eliminate, drop, who should I drop, drop a few belongings, drop a few people drop some elements of work, or maybe a few areas of work completely. And most importantly, I have to drop some thoughts.


Let’s say the difficult one, is to drop thoughts. And there are many more to this, but you get the idea, I want to eliminate I want to drop, why. Because when I do that, I know that I can get to my outcomes. See, you could not get to the outcomes this year. Because for all these reasons, you underestimated your work, or you overestimated your time, or you were interrupted by people, or you did not have the right thought patterns to get things done. That’s it. So I need to get to the outcome. So I got to drop the once I do this, I’m not saying that you need to read really, really drop everything off, you will come to a point where you realize, Wow, I dropped everything now No, there is never going to be a situation where you can empty the plate completely. See, this is a process this is life. As you empty, you keep filling, who knows what you’re filling? But the idea is to fill, fill it up with the right stuff, but it doesn’t work that way. So we end up filling a lot of lot different ways. And sometimes with the wrong things also. But this is a process of evolution. And we evolve to this. So the third step in this process is once at least achieved some success by dropping some thoughts, some people some work. Now, I shouldn’t be feeling Yeah, you know, I’m in a good position to get to the outcome. Now, let me work on getting to the outcome.


Now, before you jump on setting goals and getting and getting going on working towards your outcomes. There is a step there, which I did not know, for a long time. And I’m sharing this for the very first time on this podcast. Which is, is go to a place within inside that is divine, secluded, divine. Only you can access that, that place, or that space. You go there through meditation you go there through different means some people go silent, they go there, some people close their eyes, and they go there. Some people block off everything. They run away from the noise into the mountains or into the wilderness and they go there. I don’t know how you get there. Because if you asked me that question, I can suggest you a million things. But you need to go there. You don’t need to leave the house or you don’t need to leave the people, your loved ones to mentally go there. You can seclude yourself and just find enough time, maybe an hour or two or a half a day or a day where you sit down and go and work towards going there. Now, how do you know you got there? This is a question that I struggled with for a long time. I know I got there when I can turn my thoughts into choices. Do you see that? If you’re unable, to turn your thoughts into choices, that means you are not in a divine place yet. So my thoughts have to turn into choices. And I should be able to do that like God like that. In a fraction of a second. the thought crosses your mind. I make a choice I move now Once I’m done, the fourth step to this is to turn those choices into goals. This is where the real plan comes in.


Now, up till this point until this point, it’s all about planning the plan. This is where the goals come in. This is where planners come in, this is where you can take these goals and now turn them into actionable. You know, activities, like, on Monday, from morning seven to 715, I’m going to do this. And all the things I’ll be doing within those 15 minutes, they’re going to be helping me get to accomplish this goal. That comes later. But the key part in this is step number one, which is to really take stock of everything about you. And then dropping a few ideas to eliminate, you’re taking the list of inventory to drop things. Because dropping will enable you to get your time so that you can act with whatever energy you have, we are not talking about, you know, adding more energy adding more time because there are finite resources, you don’t have time you don’t have energy cannot be seen if you’re in your 40s 50s 60s you cannot go back and act like you’re in your 20s doesn’t work. Yes, you can. outsmart a 20-year-old on a given day, but that sick you cannot live a 20-year-old life you cannot. So we eliminate and then we find a divine place within our heart within our mind so we can turn the thoughts into choices and then turn those choices into goals.
