90-275: My Coaching Template For Success

Welcome back to Success with Srini. Happy Saturday morning to you, as I’m recording the podcast. I’m actually recording this a day early. I’m recording this on the 18th. And I’m doing that because as a part of the 18th podcast, I had a thought I had an idea that I wanted to share with you a principle or a formula for success in the new year. And I said that I mentioned that on the podcast. But then because I was recording it in podcast anyways like I was done with it. And I continued to record for 19.


So you should be listening to this on November 19, a Saturday as this podcast is coming out. But this is recorded yesterday the 18th. Okay, I want to make that clear to you so that you know that I’m not really recording this life, okay? I want to share with you a formula or a principle, an approach, or a template, whichever way you want to call it. It’s called 90 to 75. Okay, that’s the formula, this formula, or this template that I have used for the last three, or four years now. I’m a little bit more than that, since 2018, specifically started in 2018, four years, four years now. And entering into the fifth year. This template is so incredible. And I tried this across six coaching clients in 2018 2019 and 2020 2021. I did not personally coach anyone, and in 2022, I did not, I’m sorry 2021. I did 2022, I did not. So for three years, I have successfully tested this across 1820 individuals, I’ve seen this work. And I’m sharing that today here because I need some time you need some time to put this template into your life. And this template is essential if you really want to take charge of your life starting the month of January 1, January, but the first of January, ideally. Okay, so let me break this 90 to 75 template, step by step. Here’s how this works. If you take the entire 365 days, then we are talking in two chunks, we’re talking the first 90 days, and then the next 275 days. Okay, first 90 days, next 275 days, if we take 90 days out the remainder two santur days in my life working with people, I’ve come across two kinds of people, people who say that, tell me whatever you want to tell me or shared with me, here’s my problem. And I’m going to take my time to figure this out. So I put them in the 275 categories, then I have people who tell me that I have some time I can put in the effort. I want to get things done. Can you tell me how this is going to work? So these are aggressive, these are concerned, these are intentional individuals. So I put them in that 90 categories. So they will get the result in 90 days, the 275 categories, will get the result, but they work at their own pace. So this is how this is this is a different mindset. But then you categorize them into different categories.


Now, let’s say you want to put obviously for ask the question, do you want to get to 75 or do you want to be 90, your answer is going to be 90, I want to be 90 Because I want to get things done. I’m hoping for 90. Now, the template works very simply. The template is you have to find one area in which you want to create ultimate success in the new year. And ultimate success, maybe business maybe relationships, maybe finances, maybe your job, maybe your vacations, and all that so leisure and or whatever that area is just pick one area where you want to have the maximum outcome with a singular focus. Now I call it and in the coaching setup, I say choose an area that you want to revolutionize you want to drastically it’s so big and so huge that the world will stop and pause for a while you’re doing this. So just one. I’m not saying to have other areas where you have goals, you have some expectations and you have some projects that you want to pursue great, do that, but then choose one area that will stand out. And if you get this right and you do this, it’s going to completely change your game. I’ll give you an example. Let’s say I want to completely revamp my health completely gonna turn around with my health. I’m going to Get back energy, I want to get back my momentum, I’m gonna get back my entire good, just I’m gonna feel good.

So let’s say I’m 200 pounds overweight, I want to lose weight, lose weight, and get back my strength and get back my energy, my stamina, and all that that’s because if I do that, that’s going to completely revolutionize my entire life. And of course, it’s going to impact other areas of life. So I’m going to pick that as an example for the podcast.


Now, what I’ll do is I’m going to set a goal for myself to achieve that in 90 days, starting the first of January. Now, I do not know how I’m going to do it. And I do not my first of January is going to make sense of not. And I don’t want to show up on the first of January, with some lethargy and the same mindset that I have today. So as I’m recording this podcast is November 18. Right? So I don’t want to even though I have the intention to lose weight and get feel better and build my health in the new year. Why should I wait till the first of January to take charge? So I take charge now. So here’s how this works. So you take a three weeks timeline, in this year, three weeks, and three weeks that you choose? So start December 10, go three weeks, start tomorrow, go three weeks, starting November 28, go three weeks, choose three weeks, three weeks, for me, is precisely 21 days. So pick 21 days. And in these 21 days, you will do everything that you think you need to do in some shape or form. I’m not saying you go aggressive, I’m not saying that you need to really, totally dial in. But you do things with your own understanding at your own pace. But you will do. So you will go eat right exercise, sleep, drink water, whatever it is, whatever those basics are, at whatever level that you can do. at your own pace with your own understanding, understanding is the key to your own understanding. You start doing it for three weeks, that’s all, the idea is that you do it for three weeks to get a baseline. The three weeks of this year will define the three months of next year.


The simple three weeks of this year will define the three months of next year, the first three months. So if losing weight, is the goal is what we are talking about here today on the podcast, you’re going to spend the next three weeks, doing all the activities that are related to weight loss. Do you know what those activities are? I’m not going to call them out here on this podcast. But you get to know what it is because you know because you’ve been stuck working and thinking and struggling maybe to lose weight. So why not use whatever you already know, that’s the message here. No need for me to repeat them. While you’re establishing a baseline, you’re doing two things only. You’re assessing at the end of three weeks, will you will get two data points. Clearly, you will get two data points. one data point you will get is consistency. Did I do it consistently? Did I work hard for six days in a week, let’s or five days, or whatever timeline you set did I do? Or I did not do that simply. So consistency will stand out. The second one comes is a capability you will also come to realize your capability. Do you have it in you or you do not have it in you? Or you may have to some extent, may not be the whole extent but to some extent you have some you’re missing.


So you will assess your ability. And you will also understand many other things beyond. We’ll get into that sometime later on. But the idea is I want you to do this alone. Alone. When you’re doing it alone. You’re assessing what you’re doing. Now, these three weeks will tell you going forward when you really start setting deadlines and goals and all that and execution plans and all that now whatever format you’re following, for first of January onwards, you will figure out whether you can do this alone. Or you can do it with help, or you need help, clearly. Now, let’s say you were inconsistent through these three weeks. That means you need an accountability coach. You do not need a subject matter expert coach or a subject matter. Mentor. You need accountability. That’s all you need.


Let’s say you were lacking capability you are consistent but the capability you are lacking, you are showing up every day in the morning at the gym. But somehow you are doing the weights incorrectly, you were doing the treadmill incorrectly. So it’s a capability discussion, you need the abilities of somebody else to argue that which you are lacking. So you need a subject matter expert to come in and tell you how to lift the weights, how to run, how to swim, how to jog all that. And this is very important, you cannot mess this up. I see people messing this up. Some people, Oh, I know what to do, I just need a little bit of accountability. Accountability coaches, there is a range and a variety and a wide spectrum of coaches in any area. But accountability can be replaced easily you can build accountability through your friends and through your partners through your children, I mean, the different accountability techniques you can use to overcome that deficiency. So you’re inconsistent, you can overcome that with a variety of tools, and capabilities. Also, you can overcome with a bunch of tools, but mostly, if you are in a situation where you need capabilities, and also accountability, then and also you need some level of insight and knowledge and all that.


So at that point, you need somebody who can do all these things with you, then we are now talking about a different level of indulgence from a coach or a mentor. The most important part is that you lock these three weeks, these 21 days, and discover yourself. And when you do it, the next 90 days are going to be at the beginning of the year are going to be awesome. You don’t want to be in a situation where you flip the formula. And you spend the next 275 days, starting the new year, trying to figure out what you will do with life, and then show up oh, we are here, this is October 1, and I have only three months. And I’m gonna accomplish all my goals. You don’t want to be there. You don’t want to be there. I’m starting to condense my goals. I’m starting to string the timeline to get more things done in the shortest and slickest timelines I am trying. Of course, I have goals that I want to accomplish in the next 21 days. For myself, I have December goals number goals, I set 90-day goals starting from the first of October.


So there are different things I’m doing. But the key is to follow what I’m doing I’m using this template is more than this template. But I’m just giving you the idea here I’m sharing a 50,000-foot view of this template, how it works, the keys to value the first 90 days and you value those 90 days by valuing the three weeks or 21 days of this year, you live 2022 at a level as if you are already living 2023 That’s the secret. So if you want to change your career in the next 90 days, starting the new year, then work on that part. For three weeks this year.
