Is There A Formula For Success After All?

“I can’t give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you a formula for failure: try to please everybody all the time.”

That was Herbert Bayard Swope, (January 5, 1882 – June 20, 1958) American Editor and Jounalist; first receipent of the Pultizer Prize.

While I have read the great work of Herbert, I am quoting him here, because most recently I had an opportunity of reading Tim Ferriss’s book ” The 4-Hour Work Week” in which Tim highlights this quote and makes his point in a big way.

Lets move on...

Most people want to be successful in life. They set goals and commence the hard work to achieve them. The question is what is success after all? Actually, success can mean different things to different people.

For example, a person that owns their real estate investing business might set their level of success at buying and selling 20 properties a year while someone who loves music might consider success as cutting their own CD. In addition, success does not always have to involve money. Success could be getting a good grade in a difficult class or learning how to bake the perfect chocolate cake.

Success comes in all different shapes and sizes with one common denominator. Success is important and it takes work to reach.

The first and the foremost thing one has to do it to realize his or her potential. In order to succede at anything, you need to assert that you have the potential to reach your goals. For example, if you want to be a recording artist but have no singing ability, having success in this field is not likely. However, if you love working on houses and have a real talent for fixing them up and flipping them, and to you, success would mean buying cash generating commerical properties, you have potential to learn and achieve that success.

Regardless of what your specific success is, there are ways to achieve and surpass your goal. There are plenty of aids that are available to you in your quest. All you have to do is look for them. In fact over the next few days I will be sharing a few of them here on this blog.

For Your Success!
