Struggle Will Exist, Level Will Be Different

Welcome back to success with Srini. Happy Saturday morning to you. I want you to listen to yesterday’s podcast before you listen to today’s podcast. Listen, it doesn’t matter who you are, what you do, what your situation is, what your circumstances are.


There are two truths in life. One is somebody else is getting there or getting there. without much effort like yours. That’s the truth. That means I can get there easily and faster than you whatever the goal you have for yourself and you are struggling with it.


The other truth is that I despite my best efforts, will never ever get there. And because I have more challenges, more struggles more suffering, than you with some struggle, some pain, we’ll get there, eventually, we’ll get there. Both these extremes exist. Somehow, we never see what’s happening behind us. Because we are focused only see what is happening ahead of us. And there are so many different codes and philosophies on this. This one incredible thing many, many years ago, as a kid, I heard this, or don’t complain, the guy in front of you has shoes or better shoes than yours. Because the guy behind you has no legs or something like that. If you take that in context, there is truth to it. So these are the two extremes. And somehow we never see what’s happening, you know, behind us. And that’s how I think that the design is our human structure, the way we are designed is to always see what’s happening ahead of us, we rarely move behind and look. But when you move your head behind, and you do see people behind you who are having trouble, you are having challenges, then you will pause, it’s very difficult to look behind and walk forward very hard.


So you look behind, then you pause, you’ll see some suffering, then you are now you stop your momentum, you are now not moving forward. And then you go back and try to help them let’s say you have the heart to help others, then you will help try to help them. And when you do, even though you may not reach your destination, but then there is a level of happiness that you may not get even after reaching the destination. By the way. I know people who finish marathons and still are not happy. Now I have a friend of mine who has been running marathons forever and keeps running. And you know he’s unhappy after each marathon. Oh, I wish I could have done this five minutes. You know, my last marathon was five minutes better than this today’s and I feel sad. I couldn’t beat my yesterday, Stein last times, last marathon time, whatever. And I’m like standing there and thinking I never run a full marathon in my life. You just ran a marathon, you’re running one marathon a week. Man, I wish I could become like you. And he’s thinking that he can’t run a Boston Marathon because he’s not able to improve his time. We’re how this thing is. But here’s the interesting part, no matter who is in front of me, and no matter who is behind me, including me.


We all have struggles. This is the truth, you have a struggle. No matter how much you have no matter how much you say. And you may overlook the struggle, you may compromise with your struggle. You may take your struggle into you and you may somehow sit with your struggle and consider your struggle to be a co-partner in your existence, which I suggest that you do. Just because you have framed it differently in your mind doesn’t mean that there is no struggle it has gone away. It is their question is what can be done to fight. First of all, when there is a struggle, it does flare up. It can really show up at a time when you’re not prepared to deal with it. It’s like somebody said you know you have a lion or a tiger that you raise and then hoping that it’s living with you. Just because it’s living with you. It’s going to be How to behave like a human. No nature is nature, a struggle by default has its own nature, it is there to create trouble for you. The question is how do you overcome or build power or build strength to deal with a struggle, which by the way, is going to exist? The level is different.


So, if you don’t have money today, the struggle is for money, you will make money because you’re focused on it just a matter of time before you make the money. And then once you have the money, then you have the next level of struggle, which is the taxes and how do I multiply it? How do I invest? How do I grow this, then let’s say you don’t have peace today, in your life, you have money, but you don’t have peace. So you want to eliminate everything you want to seclude yourself, you want to go into a cave and live there. Yes. And once you are there, now, then then the discussion then another level of struggle starts well, you just you know, I don’t think I can live in a cave like this. And I’m a human I need to be with people in society. So, there is going to be a struggle. So, the question is, how do you deal with this? The first and foremost part is there is going to struggle anyway, the level may change, but there is so as long as there is life there is a struggle, this is the truth. Question is, we should not deplete while dealing with struggle, we cannot feel inadequate, we should not feel weak, and we should not feel unequipped to deal with struggle. That’s the discussion here. So what are things that you can do, to fight to put up a good fight, a fight in which you win each time? But remember, you already made a struggle, your friend, so it’s there with you? Most of the time, it’s calm, it’s quiet, but every time it flares up, you need to step up. What can you do? When do I say flaring up? Let me explain. When a struggle flares up, it could flare up because somebody says something, something to you, and you might become angry. And everything comes in front of your eyes. Oh, and I’ve gone through a lot in my life. And why is this happening to me who is saying this to me? Anger, frustration. Rage sometimes comes from outside sometimes could be inside, maybe you’re sitting in your house and alone and some ideas, some thought crosses your mind. And suddenly you are now fighting with your past fighting with the future or fighting with the present suddenly, from nowhere. That’s the struggle.


She is there inside, it flares up? So yeah, you can suppress those emotions and all but mostly you cannot. You can repress those emotions, you cannot they usually come out anyway. So what can you do? Many, many years ago, as a part of my own self-improvement journey, I came across five simple things that I have noted, I’ve written notes on this. I’ve shared this also multiple times on this podcast. But I want to take an excuse today and share this one more time with you. The most important part is that you’ve got to keep your head cool. When you keep your head cold, that means you have mental equivalency. So keeping your head cool is mental. You got to keep your heart warm. If you’re that that’s the heart. It’s breathing. Actually, it beats like this. That’s how it beats. You gotta keep it warm. You know, and one of the most effective ways to make your hot warm is that you step into the shoes of other people. Can I step in every time I run this podcast, or I’m in a consultation, I’m stepping into somebody’s life, a lot of people can do what I do. I’m telling you, somebody asked me this question. You know, you’re on the radio and this and that. I said yes. Not on radio, because I want to be not because I’m doing this podcast because I want to be I can live a comfortable life without doing radio without doing podcasts or any of these things. The reason why somebody chooses to be doing this like this. And somebody choosing not to do this is because very rarely do people want to share their life with others. Very rarely. See, your boss can take the salary and walk away. But your boss chooses to mentor you and coach you. When they do that. That means they’re sharing a part of them with you. Very rarely do you see that.


As parents, we do that. Our children and our siblings will do that. But outside is doing very rare. So a lot of coaches who coach or speakers who speak and all that, but then very rarely people really share that life. So every time a coach or mentor steps in or you see they have somebody doing things like me, they have a desire, of course, business money, all these things do play a role and all that but there has to be an underlying intent to share. You got to Keep your heart warm in every situation, that’s when you have emotional stability. You got to keep rewards kind. If you keep rewards kind, you attend spirituality, somebody asked me Srini, I was in a discussion about religions and spirituality. And I said, there is nobody who is a, you know, higher caste and lower caste, I have a very simple formula for distinguishing between higher cash and lower caste, I just don’t actually have any way to distinguish I think all are equal, you’re all the same. The difference between upper caste and lower caste is the way you use your words, you’re using words incorrectly, then that means you are positioning on the lower side of the spectrum, the human spectrum. You want to be on the higher side, but the human spectrum uses the right words. To the right words, what’s the need for four-letter words everywhere you drop? No need for that. So, be careful how you use your words because that defines your spirituality.


Right? How do you keep your body pure? What do you put in? What do you listen to? What do you eat all that thing? So you want to keep your body pure, then that means your physical. And if you keep your actions controlled, then that is material. That’s it. So these are the five things that you take control of. And suddenly you are on top of your struggle. Struggles won’t bother you anymore. Simple mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical material. And this whole game is this. There isn’t anything else to live other than these five. This is it. Some people have some natural ability to achieve a certain level of proficiency and excellence in one or two areas. Where then imagine you getting all areas figured out. Then see what happens to your life. Brilliant. And that’s how you win over struggle. Okay, I’m going to stop here. This has gone very long. Have a wonderful Saturday.
