Here is the complete transcript of the podcast
Recently I was on a forum in a group where people were chatting about how to increase personal value. So a very interesting conversation. Some people were saying, You got to really work on your passion, some somebody said, You got to work on your commitment. Somebody said, You got to work on your resume and your connections, I mean, a variety of a large group of people, this was on Facebook, a large group of people, everybody contributing their own perspective on what rates an individual’s values. There were incredible suggestions there. And I was for a second, I was thinking, you know, if I have to contribute to this to this discussion, what should I say that nobody has ever said, or something where whatever I say, stands unique and stands out. So I was debating this. And then there was just a thought crossed my mind that many, many years ago, I read, you know, something similar to this, a while ago, I read somewhere. So I went back to my notes, and pull this paper out. You know, there are five things that that here, at least in this note, which is, by the way, not mine, this is not mine. This is a book that I read, every note that I took either from a seminar from a workshop, or maybe from a book that I read.
So I have all these notes everywhere. So none of this is mine. This is something that I learned from somebody’s work, I just happened to be representing this here on this podcast. And also at my seminars, I wrote down five things here, clarity, strength, power, sincerity, and completeness, the five things that you need to add value, and you do that on a daily basis. So let’s talk about all these five very, very quickly. Clarity off visualization. So you should be able to visualize everything that you are about to do, or whatever goals you have set yourself for, you should see the end outcome in your mind, and you should have so much clarity that there shouldn’t be any doubt. When you go and you take action. When you apply yourself to whatever project you have, that you want to work on. When you specifically work on tasks within those projects, you need to be absolutely short. And for that, for that to happen for you to get that mastery. And again, this is a different discussion altogether, could be done in a different podcast. But to get to that level, you need to have explored a lot you need to be you need to have processed a lot in your mind, you should have experienced a lot so. So take a lot of data into yourself and apply the data and come up with some observations and then build some models. And with so much ability, there’s so much experience, there is so much of missing the right word. I think you get to the point, that when the next goal or whatever next challenge appears in front of you, you know exactly what you have to do. And clarity is very hard to earn. Some people say I have the talent, why should I get experience? Yes, but there are two different things. If I keep on doing the same thing over and over again, can I still have a different experience? Yes. Possible? Could be and there is no there’s no substitute experience. The truth is there’s no substitute absolutely no none. Forget about placement. So different.
The placement is a whole different thing altogether, no substitute for experience. And clarity comes from experience. Experience means you have made mistakes, experience means that are some lessons. Experience means that you have something that others should not have, in your own way with your uniqueness, clarity of visualization, and secondary strength of feeling. If you have done the job, right, then you have a different feel altogether. When you do the job, right. As you’re doing it, you know that you’re doing it right. Whatever the thing that you’re working on. When you think about doing something, you attach the right feeling. People attach intent, but you attach the feeling I know if I do this, I’ll feel this way. I know that whoever I’m doing this for will feel this way. You know that this is how great things are accomplished by attaching feelings. So there has to be strong in it you people attach it wrong feelings or incur I would say wrong feelings. And sometimes even if they do attach the right feeling the feeling lacks the strength. That’s where the word strength comes from, I think.
Then, the third one is power, the power of imagination. Does anybody else tell you this when you cannot imagine, you cannot even if you cannot imagine the outcomes, you cannot imagine how life is going to be you cannot imagine that you are out of the struggle and or whatever suffering or pain that you’re going through, maybe you can’t imagine that you’re out of this, you can’t imagine a better world a better life and a better situation for yourself, it doesn’t matter how long it’s going to take. You can’t imagine that that means it’s very difficult, it will be challenging. One of the things that back in the day I used to do with my seminars and workshops is to instill an imagination routine, forcing people to think and imagine differently, so that they don’t spend cycles, thinking about the current situation at hand. Instead, they project their mind. And think about all the good things that are going to happen to them as a result of them just taking action, or maybe, whatever, whatever the course is. It’s incredible when you apply imagination, I think that was Einstein who said nothing. Nothing of any value was ever accomplished without imagination, something like that. I’m paraphrasing it. And nothing of any significance has ever been accomplished without imagination. There are so many different quotes that come to my mind. When I hear the word imagination. The next one is sincerity. The sincerity of Thanksgiving, I have a routine that or I have a rule where I say, every day, I say at least three, three times, thank you. And three times sorry. It’s just clipped. I do that because thank these two things. This is an act of kindness. This is not an act of weakness. When you say sorry, to someone, it’s not an act of weakness, it’s an act of kindness. And this has an element it removes superiority. It pains, your ego. And it just forgot about all these things, but just the right thing to do. But you got to do that sincerely can’t fake it.
So sincerity of Thanksgiving, is we say thank you all I mean, we do express gratitude, but the sincerity of the gratitude is what matters, it is just not the act itself or not the word itself. And finally, completeness. And completeness, in this case, is the completeness of expression. See, you have something in mind. But you are saying something else. You want to do something, but you’re doing something else. People live in conflict. And because there is something else in the mind, and something else is in the heart, we tend to somehow satisfy the mind most of the time and hope that our heart will heal, the heart never heals. It’s very difficult to heal the heart. Mind is very smart. And the mind can really learn. But we don’t train the mind as much. We want to keep the mind as is. But somehow I want to tame the heart. If you cannot fully express who you are, what you do, what you stand for your values, your convictions, and your beliefs, somehow they don’t come out, then you’ll have a difficult life. It’s hard as is it’s very hard. And imagine you’re not able to express yourself how hard that is. You don’t want to go to therapy and meet people who tell me that you have an emotion that has been depressed for 20 years, 30 years. And as I work with them, and I’m like, wow, you lived all this life with this. Yeah. Not worth it. And the longer you stay without expressing yourself, the more expensive it becomes to fix it to triage it.
So, if you have some things that you always wanted to express, then go complete them. You wanted to do the painting or you wanted to sing that song What do you want to act or dance or whatever that is, whatever that expression is for you? the thing that you never did or couldn’t find the time to do? Go, go do it. You see these are not one-off things and these cannot be done. Whenever you choose to do or whenever you think you have time to do this has to be done on a regular basis, ideally on a daily basis and there are specific actions that you only know what they are within each of this category or within these five things that you have to do, so that when you do you feel good, obviously, but then invisibly, you’re adding value to who you are. That’s exactly what I wanted to share on the Facebook group, but then I did not, but I’m sharing it with you here.
Hopefully, this is helpful. I’m going to stop here. Hopefully, this is helpful. You go enjoy your Friday. Don’t drag this out anymore. I never want these Friday podcasts to be deep. I’ll leave it here and I’ll catch up with you tomorrow. Stay tuned. Thank you
