How To Translate Your Intentions Into Actions

How To Translate Your Intentions Into Actions

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

All through this life, you meant to do a lot of things. You wanted to get involved with certain kinds of work, wanted to live in a certain area, might have wanted to focus on certain hobbies and certain activities. But along the way, every time you wanted to do something, life intervened. It prevented you from doing what you always thought you wanted to do. If that is who you are, today’s podcast episode is for you.

This is the Success with Srini podcast, I’m here every day. The idea behind this podcast is to coach you on a daily basis. So every day a fresh episode that I record. My idea is that I want you to stay focused and aligned with your goals and objectives. What can you do? How can you get over this thing? Where in your thinking all the time that you wish you could have done this, you wish you could have done that? And it’s not a good feeling to have? It’s not a good conversation to have in the mind. So how do we overcome this? We start with the mind. Instead of saying I wanted to do this all my life, I should have done this, I should have done that. I don’t know what happened. Instead of having this conversation, I wanted you to shift the conversation in your mind. I wanted to start by saying I couldn’t do this. I understand. But what can I do today? How do I get going with this? I always wanted to do this. But now that I have not done it? What can I do today to get started with this? So very powerful question.

When you say, you take ownership of what has happened or has not happened to you in the past, you start taking ownership of every minute, you’re going to have to start now. It’s a very powerful affirmation right there. Now let’s talk about some action strategies that will inspire you to start fulfilling your dreams. The first and the foremost is I’ve wanted to pick maybe two or three desires you have or you had in the past three desires. And I want you to start putting a plan around this, like, what can I do starting today, for these three things, maybe for five or 10 minutes a day. That’s the start. So timewise, maybe 5-10 minutes, these three things that from the past that I had, I wanted to do, I will start that starting today, I’m going to give 5-10 minutes. And I’m going to space them out throughout the day and see what happens over the next 30, 60, or 90 days.

So you take three things, you set them over the next 30, 60 90 days. Every 30 days, you do a status check, you want to find out how you’re doing. But that comes later. The most important part is giving that five or 10 minutes every day to that one desire you had from the past. So I want you to pick three. Now, I want you to stay focused on this. There will be interferences, there will be some other random thoughts. Because you have programmed your mind for a long amount of time that these things have not happened, they don’t probably have any relevance in your life anymore. Those things will come in, but your job is to stay focused on how you can get it done every five or 10 minutes a day. The rest of the day, you can keep on thinking, you know, I wish I could have done this, I could have done that. That’s okay, that feeling, it takes time for that to go away. But then typically it goes away in about 60 days, 60 days, for sure. 30 days, you start seeing those feelings go away.

Now, one of the other things you have to have in your mind is you need to for sure have this conviction that if you do this over the next 90 days, then you’re going to surprise yourself. That’s the conviction with which you start or the next 90 days if I pursue the last three desires. And I stick to a plan or daily plan three goals 10 minutes a day. And I do that over the next 90 days. I know I’m going to surprise myself. When you surprise yourself. Guess what you’re surprising the world, the world will see you. Okay? Now, I want you to understand that every time we take on something doesn’t matter small or big.

It’s hard. Change is hard. Change is hard and changes that are being forced by you. When you can see a change is hard because it needs effort. It needs time. Everything is hard. And that’s why people don’t succeed. And that’s why if success was easy, everybody on the street would be successful. I shouldn’t be saying that. But you and you know, that’s the point everybody would be successful. Success is hard. It takes effort, time, and a lot of resources, and above all an incredible mindset. So As you’re pursuing these three things, over the next 90 days, understand that you got to become flexible. You got to become flexible. If something has to be changed, you are willing to change. If something has to be switched, it has to be switched. If something has to move, it has to move. But as long as you’re making progress, as long as there is forward momentum, that’s all there is to this. 90 days may become 180 days, it’s okay. 30 days may not be 30 days, it could be more, it’s okay. It’s fine.

Now, as long as you have this kind of flexibility, it’s not like I started I heard Srini talk about this on his podcast, I started doing this 30 days have gone by 60 days have gone by 90 days have gone by nothing happened. I think all this thing is nonsense. This has happened to me, I have suggested people do things. And they came back and told me that you know, my suggestion was incorrect. Well, my suggestion is not incorrect. The way the suggestion was taken, and the way the suggestion was acted upon were incorrect. See, life, in general, gives guidance, people give guidance. But we are not the guides who are next with you living your life, nobody is living your life, you are living your life. So you have absolute accountability to yourself, than anybody else.

Honestly, this is you, this is your life. This is your own reflection of you that you can see. And then you calibrate with things that you are doing. Flexibility is important. And I have repeatedly said this on this podcast, the most flexible individual in the room is the winner, not the individual with force, not the individual with the loudest voice, not the individual with the highest and biggest connections or with more money, the individual who has the highest amount of flexibility is the winner in the room. And finally, find that this is the last one. Your language is important. In anything, your language is important. I did multiple podcasts starting earlier in the month of January and part of February also. So if you just go back a few episodes, you can see why how our words shape our destiny, how our words shape our habits, or what shape or character or words literally shape or life. So languaging is important. Always I wanted to do this. Like, you change that language. And you start saying, I have started to do this. Now that I’ve started to do this, let me save their discourse.

Every time we talk to anyone, please use the right words and write phrases and make your intent. obvious to them. I’m doing this, I see this happening. I see the positives in all this. I know I should have done this many, many years ago. But now that I’ve started, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. These are some not exactly this is the way you have to say it. But you get the idea. You need to position your intent and make it obvious to people around you. Primarily the people who you care for and you love in your core relationships. Now, there is a core underlying message in all this. The messages you have the time, the resources, the mind, and everything within your reach. To get anything done. All you have to do is stop the conversation in your mind. That means you stop talking and start doing. If you start doing magic happens, the biggest challenge I have as a coach is getting people to start doing things. Because once they start doing things, there is momentum, it takes care of itself. So you got to set the rock, give that force and start creating that momentum once it’s there. Once it’s inflow, it’s going to take its own momentum. That’s the key to this.
