This Is How I Train My Mind For Maximum Results

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Welcome back to success with Srini. Happy Sunday morning to you on the podcast today, I’m answering a question, which is very interesting. I want to become successful in all aspects of life. What do I need to do? What kind of thinking do I need to have? And can you share some action steps? This is a wonderful question. This question is so open, and there is so much innocence in this question. I, you know, this podcast is, is that this podcast is to address a question like this, and how can I be how can I become successful? Now, to be very honest, nobody knows the answer, to how you can become successful. Everybody has some idea, some guidance based on their own experiences with life. Everybody, whoever does what I do, is not different than that much different than what I do. And I’m not that different than them. All of us have ideas, and all of us have thought based on our own understandings and experiences. And we all share. So there is no way to precisely tell you how you can succeed and what you have to do to succeed. I can put myself in your shoes and answer the question as if I’m living your life, that’s also difficult because I have not met you, and I don’t know you. So it’s difficult. So all of us can provide some knowledge, guidance, ideas, and thoughts here. But the true discovery of success has to happen from your side, whatever it is for you, it’s only for you. I can share with you my mindset on how I approach things in my life. And how I train my mind, and how I have positioned it. Again, this podcast has all those thoughts, everything that I share here is what I more or less practice, sometimes I do refer to some examples that are beyond my reach but which I do not do. But mostly everything I share here is what I practice.

So what I want to do is I want to still answer this question, because you asked, and I was deferring this question for a long time this question has been in my inbox for a long time. So there are two thoughts that I process or two, overall, bigger, you know, frames through which I look at life. The first one is, is I take a small thing, whether it is an idea, a project, a task, or whatever it is, and I can take it to the highest level, in my mind. So anything small, I elevate to the highest level. And I can take the second one, I can take something that is very big, huge, extremely big, and take it down to the lowest level of implementation. So these are the two big frames through which I operate life. So one is a micro-macro if I have to be very specific. So macro in my thinking is, man, I got to change the world. I got to do something so big. So you know, this has to be done. Like I could think like that. And in the very next moment. I’m like cleaning toilets. That’s how far and wide I could go. And I don’t see the problem with both. Not that I say I’m such a big strategic thinker, but why am I cleaning toilets, I do not. And just because I’m cleaning toilets, I will never have time to think about something big in my life. I don’t do that either. So I understand both are important. Now, as I’m thinking between these two extremes, the space in between is the idea space. This is where I get my ideas. So as much as give an example as much as I’m recording this podcast, just to know that I do not go if I have to come back tomorrow and talk about a record a podcast, let’s say I’m under the stress most podcasters have the stress as I’m speaking right now, as I’m recording this podcast now. I already have like three-four ideas in the back of my mind about what to do for tomorrow’s podcast. I do not have to sit down and think about and plan and prepare none. Let’s say you don’t have any questions to answer. Let’s say you did not answer the ask this question. Then I don’t need to worry about tomorrow because at some this. I am having ideas. So it’s interesting. I am talking about this. Maybe I’ll do this tomorrow. But just the idea crossed my mind. You know how to live a healthy life.

Maybe I’ll talk about this tomorrow. Shed some light ideas, and some thoughts on this because they’re already crossing my mind as I’m recording this podcast, the gap between a micro action and the macro idea, a project, the gap in between is where the true expansion of knowledge, all kinds of expansions happen emotional expansion, intellectual expansion, all that happens between that gap. So, in that gap, I do two things. Either I act, or I store. So, sporting means, okay, I got an idea. And let me keep it with me. And I’ll work on this. Okay, as I’m existing in between these extremes. So because I do not, I operate between the micro and macro, every aspect everywhere in life, macro and micro. That is why roles, titles, money, none of those things matter. In my existence, that won’t matter at all. Because in one moment, I might be just doing the most elemental unexpected thing. In the next moment, the very next moment, I’ll be like doing something that is completely opposite. And, you know, a problem that’s bigger than my previous action. Now, do I plan these things? No, I’d not. But that’s how it is. That’s the scale. The idea of achieving the scale, I’m not saying I do it the best. I’ve seen people who do it at a much deeper level with absolute eloquence, I do not. But then this is these are some of the frames through which I operate my life. And this is how I train my mind. So there is never a dull moment. There is never a moment of apathy, guilt, or any of those things. Now, is this the only way to train your mind now? Is this the only way to have success? But I found success by doing this. And that’s the idea. And if you can scale your mind that way, then the majority of the things that you are doing that otherwise bother you.

Why am I in this job for seven years, 10 years, 15 years, how come I’m not able to get to the next level? How come others are? So if these thoughts are bothering you, or which by the way does too many people, they tend to have less and less brain space. So this level of extreme thinking will eliminate those thoughts to occupy the brain space, and allow you to now think and look at life differently. When ideas grow between my extreme between my micros and macros and ideas grow, I usually take an idea that comes up for a thought that comes up. And I either communicate that thought or maybe it is a podcast. In this case, I was giving an example to you earlier, or something that I want to work on. I’ll keep it for a later date to come back and, and work on it. Sometimes some ideas need some time to be developed. So I apply myself within that space. Okay, this is how I train my mind. I’m not saying that this is the best way. As I said, that’s the disclaimer. But there are many techniques. And I’ve been talking about all the techniques on this podcast. So go back and some go back in time for at least some time. Just go back maybe a month or two and pick up some of the podcast episodes who are watching this on YouTube there are many that you can search. If you’re listening to this on a podcasting app, that means there are I think you can go back about 100 days on this podcast. Beyond that, I do not know that’s possible. I think iTunes doesn’t. But yeah, so the nitty gritty specifics are many that I’ve already talked about. But these frames, this, this frame that these two frames that I’m using, the very first time I’m talking about on the podcast, hopefully, this is helpful. And once you’ve mastered this, it doesn’t matter where you’re trying to create success. I’m not saying you’re not going to encounter failure or disappointment. But at least you’ll have whatever it takes to weather all that.

Okay, that’s all, for now, you go enjoy your incredible Sunday, and I’ll be here tomorrow. And I want to develop this thought a little bit on how to live a worthy life, something like that. And I want to spend the day today and I’ll record if I can get myself there. Then I will record this for tomorrow. Make it available to you. So for now, you take care. Talk soon
