4 Tips That Will Catapult You From A Good Blogger To A Great Blogger

Create Your Own Editorial Calendar

When you master the concept of ???Time??? you can easily go from a good blogger; who writes frequently??¦ To a great blogger; who attracts, inspires and converts.

Every time you make a post, make sure you take a minute and think how you can improve its reach, its depth and its appeal. Think beyond RSS and Blog Broadcasts, Think beyond nice graphics & pictures. Focus on readership & loyalty

Every time you conceive an idea, develop marketing outlines and see how you could maximize revenues from it. Affiliate text link embedding, Contextual Banners & Press Release driven opt-ins are a few you can pursue.

If you know you will be writing 7 articles during Super Bowl why not work ahead in time and source high paying affiliate banners for these posts upfront?

Post Frequently

The secret to getting a lot of traffic to your blog is to blog frequently and on a consistent basis. To get indexed on search engines it makes sense to make rapid posts, ie about 2-4 posts a day.

Writing for the search engines without compromising existing readership is an art, but can be developed with practice.

Content creation takes time, often times it could take you away from other revenue generating activities. Beyond a certain point, most successful bloggers out-source this function.

Convert weak posts into strong posts

Sometimes no matter how hard you try you can never get a post just right. They call it ???writers block???. There are good days and bad days. Every post is like a musical performance where just landing on the notes won??™t cut it. You need Symphony .

If you have below average posts in your blog, make a point of going back and modifying them on a periodic basis.

In other words give equal importance to your past posts. Please don??™t disown them too quickly.

Structure Your Content

Growing up we were taught to read, write and explain everything in terms of Intro -> Body -> Conclusion. This formula works.

(Did you see there was no intro to this post, it started with a headline and continued with a body. There is a call-to-action at the end, only if you can catch it??¦)

If you want to still improvise on this, Try to get some copy writing aspects into your posts.

One strategy that has worked very well for me is making ???Bold Claims in the headlines and substantiating it with evidence in the body???.

The other strategy I frequently use is wrapping my content around stories.

Remember every post has a life of its own.

Every post has a power to create a Million dollar business for you.
An article can be converted into a special report
A special report can be converted into a case study.
A case study can lead you to a book publishing deal a book can lead you to your own home study course, workshop or seminar

and all of them put together can make you a ???Celebrity???.

Did I mention this post is the foundation of my ???King Of Blogging workshop???.

    Hi Robert,

This is nothing wrong in putting your website address. The point I was trying to make is: Creating credibility is very important and that happens from making sincere comments which bring value to the blog and other readers. Remember comments are not that differenet than posts. They are much more valuable.

Search engine optimization sucks. Focus on writing stuff that you want to write and other people will be interested in in a clear, lucid manner. The idea of using the Web as a way to make money is a bad one unless you are developing a web-based service of some sort. Ads are bunk.
