Discipline Creates Brilliance

Discipline Creates Brilliance

Here is the complete transript of the podcast

Welcome back, or welcome to Success with Srini. Today is a Sunday. So Happy Sunday morning to you. I got a message back from my Friday podcast from a listener of the podcast, praising me for telling, telling them for changing the concept of time. Right after I recorded the podcast on Friday, right after we published it, it crossed my mind, oh, I should have added one more thing. Now one more thing I want to go back in time and change about my life. I talked about the time change. And I would take my time a little bit more seriously if given a chance if I’m given an opportunity to go back in time, but also want to change one more thing, if given an opportunity, which is I would like to practice a bit more, a little bit more anything and everything that I have done a little bit more, practice a little bit better driving practice a little bit better podcasting, practice a little bit better, radio, hosting something, anything, everything that I’m doing, I should have done a little bit better practice, practice, practice, practice, they told me, they told me my teachers told me, my mentors told me everybody around me, the environment told me to practice a little bit more a little bit better, I did not. And guess what? Discipline creates brilliance. Discipline creates brilliance, print it out on paper, put it on the wall.

Discipline creates brilliance, there is no brilliance, there is no brilliance anywhere else. A long time ago, I came across a saying I want to read it to you. And you’ll see how powerful this is. somewhere, someone somehow is transforming their greater sorrow into final strength, broader sympathy, D friendship, gentler tolerance, greater charity, and a truer vision of realities of life. When you meet that individual, you are going to lose. If there is a contest, you will lose. They are doing it a little better. Everything that you’re doing now, try to do it a little better, a little bit more practice little bit more effort a little bit more time to it, whatever craft you are engaged in right now. I read that. And since then, my understanding of discipline has changed ever since I understood that. So if there is one thing that I would like to go back in time and change one other thing other than the way I used my time, I would use my time, a little bit more to practice whatever I did, at that point in time. A lot of things I did back in my 20s and 30s are not relevant today. I understand that whatever I’m doing today may not be relevant tomorrow. I understand that. But I could have done a little bit better. Because along the way I met individuals, I’m telling you this, I’m promising this, this is the truth. Along the way, I met individuals who were a little smarter than me a little bit more prepared than me a little bit ahead of me in every aspect. And that little bit. That gap was me not putting in what I was supposed to put in. So that’s the one thing that I would like to change. spectacular success is always preceded by spectacular preparation. If I could have prepared a little bit more for today’s podcast, this podcast would have been a little bit better. If we collectively as a team on this site, we practice a little bit more on these podcasts, the overall podcast experience to you as a listener is going to be amazing. It’s not that you’re not doing it’s not that I’m not doing but I’m telling you this, this is what is going on in my mind, how can I make this a little bit better? A little bit better.

That’s the thought I want to leave you with for Sunday. So whatever you have planned for tomorrow, starting Monday, you plan to understand, whatever you have scheduled for 30 minutes or 20 minutes or an hour, whatever you have got going, why don’t we stretch it a little bit more? Give it a little bit more than you have in you. We all have we have time. We have effort, we have energy, we have everything? Why not? We apply a little bit more to things that we already are doing. Life rewards, people are very transactional. If I do this for you, what will you do for me? This is the question. Most people most of the time this is the subliminal question we have in everything that we are doing is what do I get what is in it for me?

Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way. The majority of the things that we do in our day-to-day lives, there is no immediate or at least on the face reward rewards are stacked and displayed at a later point in time, at some point, who knows? Who knows if at all, they are visible to us, or if at all, they will be visible to us. Nobody knows. But they are stacked. Sometimes people do their job, and they go away. They just fade away because they never get the returns. But magically, those returns, come back to the children come back to other people who are in line who were associated with them. The results are to them, not to that individual who put who did put in the effort. You see, this is weird. The way the universal law of compensation works is unknown to mankind. How do things happen, why they happen, how events are connected, how people are placed in between events, and how events are placed in between people, is unknown. But then, that little bit, you have to do a bit more than what you’re supposed to do today, life is going to change. You see, this is the secret, this is one thing I would like to change given a chance a little bit more practice. That’s all, that’s all to this.

Before I wrap this up. One other thing I want to quickly give you most of the times people do not put a little bit more into what they’re doing is because the what just over five things that are going wrong in their thinking. First and foremost, the lack of faith in the purpose. The purpose is not clear to them. That’s why they’re doing it for the sake of doing but if there is a bigger purpose doing what they’re doing, they will put in the effort a little bit. They don’t understand the initiative. The initiative itself is weak, they don’t they can’t initiate themselves. And the overall initiative is weak. Imagination is weak sometimes that is why they don’t put in the little bit the higher effort. Obviously, discipline is not there. They don’t understand the principle of discipline. That’s why and then sometimes, I also see that people lack courage in doing what they’re doing. That is why they don’t want to put in the effort. So these are some things that you got to be careful of as you are stuck, you know, building and crafting a life in a meaningful life.

Okay, I’m gonna stop here you go. Have a wonderful Sunday. We’re going to connect back tomorrow, and we’re going to start off on a new topic. Okay, thank you. Bye now.
