How To Develop A Possibility Mindset

How To Develop A Possibility Mindset

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Happy Saturday morning to you welcome back to Success with Srini. On today’s podcast, I want to talk about a book that changed my life when I read it for the very first time. And ever since I have been reading this book, and a lot of my radio shows, this podcast, my seminars, my bookshop, they all are influenced by this book. And this book is probably the second-best book on self-improvement. This book is written by printers, Montford, and this, I believe, came out in 1920, sometime 1925, I have the physical copy of this book. And I treasure this book. And I don’t know how much I paid for this book, maybe three $400 Because it was rare, which is not available anywhere. So somebody was selling it got it. I read this book once every seven, eight months because I paid I didn’t pay I invested into this book.

Okay, so today, I want to take something from this book, there is a lot in this book, but something from this book and I want to highlight that on today’s podcast episode. There are two sides to us. One is the higher self and the other is the lower self. The higher self of us has cravings. So the higher self of us is driven by a possibility mindset within which we are constantly pursuing ideas, we are constantly in friction. So a lot of things happening in our life, we want to become successful, we want to attain perfection, we want to give our best to everything and everything that’s happening around us and there are too many things going on. So we are constantly in the friction. And because of that, we are constantly arguing with ourselves. And we do that a lot with ourselves, we end up having those arguments spill out of us into people around us. And it’s good because we are pursuing everything at our best, we are giving everything that we have to everything that’s happening within us and outside of us. So, this is called an argument for freedom. And every time there is a pursuit for freedom, there is pain. Okay. So we want freedom from pain, and hence we are having this argument. Hence, our mindset is yes, it’s possible because we’re doing it every day. So we think it’s possible. And that is the craving we have and that is what is known as our higher self. So at this point, you know, if you are having these arguments within you, and you are pursuing freedom, freedom, from pain, freedom from all the chaos that is happening, and you are pursuing everything with everything that you have within you, that means you are higher, you’re a possibility, mindset driven individual, and practice your higher self.

Now let’s talk about the lower self, the lower self is a victimized mindset, where you’re constantly living by the standards defined by other people, and people who have a lower self. In other words, people who drive their existence with that kind of a measure where they’re constantly comparing and contrasting themselves with other people, and living by the standards defined by other people, usually are going to suffer for a long time. And that is why they say you are born to suffer if you continue to live in that mindset. So it’s a victimized mindset. So the higher self is a possibility mindset. The lower self is a victimized mindset. If you are a student of success, and you listen to this podcast and you read books and other podcasts you listen to, and you take personal responsibility for all that. That means every day you wake up in the morning, your job is to question how can I shift myself from the lower side to the higher side? That’s what this book is this book. Thoughts are things is the quote messages that you need to separate these two self serve you and constantly work towards moving from the lower self to the higher self. That’s what this book talks about.

Now, it goes into even more it talks about the material mind and the spiritual mind and how we are caught up with all the material stuff. But one of the other things this book also talks about is in order for you to move from the lower side to the higher side, from the lower self, the higher self. You need to create a thought atmosphere. And a thought atmosphere is where you read some good books, you mastermind with right people. You have some good ideas and you educate yourself constantly. When you do that on an ongoing basis for a long amount of time you unknowingly unconsciously graduate from the lower self to the higher self, that so many things, it talks about thoughts, adjustability, it talks about relationships, extortions and relationships and quite a number of things. This book talks about, I took numerous notes along the way over the years. But one thing is for sure that when you wake up in the morning, the first thing you got to ask yourself is what can I do today to put myself and get into the possibility mindset? And what can I do to avoid or diminish or eliminate the victimized mindset? So the pursuit is always for your higher self. And once you put yourself in that, and when you start or question yourself that way, at the start of the day, or early in the day, then reading, educating yourself having good conversations, all those things automatically happen. But I see people who read books, and who listen to great ideas, just because they want to do it because that’s the right thing to do. Or this is a cool thing to do. Well, results don’t happen because you are reading a book or you’re having a great conversation. I mean, of course, there’s always a positive effect of that. But then, it’s always good to do something with an overall and a bigger agenda in the mind, the bigger agenda here is that you are pursuing a higher self of view. And for that to happen, you need to do these things reading books or getting into great conversations are masterminding with incredible people.

Those are the steps for you to get to your highest self. If you can get this book, get it, read it, you will get some incredible ideas, you will get obviously, wisdom from this book. But then you will also discover how to form a higher order of your mind. So you formulate your mind to the highest order. That’s what this book has done. I will not tell you to just you know this, this can happen only if you read this book, you got to become a student of this book, there’s a big difference in reading a book versus becoming a student of this book. And one of these days, I’m going to come back on the podcast and talk about how I use books to make myself accountable to them. That’s a whole different discussion itself. But for now, get this book this all this book also talks about one more thing, which is how you can step away from being cynical and sarcastic about things and situations and people and all that. So there’s also an element of that in this book. So thoughts are things.

Essentially, the book is about everything that you see around everything that you touch and feel around what the thought was conceived by somebody. So the house you are in the car you are driving the phone that you are probably listening to right now this podcast, everything, everything around us, was a thought before it became a thing. So if you read your thoughts, your thought frequency, your thought vibration, then you can also create things. And creating a life with good thoughts is the easiest part. Refining a life-modifying your life and launching a life-extending life. Those are all easy with a good thought. But then you can do bigger things also, just by shifting your thoughts. That’s the message in his book.

That’s all. That’s all I had on my mind for today’s podcast, by all means, check it out. It should be available somewhere. It’s there on Amazon. I know there are multiple other reprints of this book. That’s all for now. Stay tuned. I’ll be back here again tomorrow. We’ll carry the conversation forward. Bye now.
