Hypnosis Vs Mediation: Which One is Better?

Hypnosis Vs Mediation: Which One is Better?

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Welcome back. Happy Saturday morning to you on the podcast today I’m taking up a question that has, I think I answered numerous times on my radio show. This is the question that I answered the most number of times on my radio show. And this is the question that I have proactively from my side, tried to answer without ever being asked. But today, I’m doing this episode because yesterday, somebody asked me this question. So the question is, what’s the difference between hypnosis and meditation? Being from India, you should be talking more about meditation and yoga. I don’t see you talk about it as much. Why. Okay.

First of all, I’m a big believer in yoga and meditation. Those are the roots and born into that, as have started to see the world. I even love it more. I comprehend the power of yoga and meditation. As a young kid, I started doing yoga. I did not get into meditation as much as I was growing up. But then now at this age after seeing living as long as I have lived, I have a special respect, special love, special appreciation for meditation, and yoga. So I just want to make it very clear that I’m strong I’m a student, I’m a learner. I’m an appreciator or whatever. I’m just a big fan. Now. At any point in time through in any of my seminars and workshops, I never said that hypnosis is the ultimate mind-bending tool. I have never said that. It is one of the mind mending tools. It is as old as mankind is, and is one of the most ancient tools available. And there is a part of hypnosis available in every religion, in every line of belief. In every practice, across every country, in the world, and every region in the world. There is some element of hypnosis, stop word meditation for a second meditation is a way to get into a hypnotic state of meditation is to get into hypnotic state-guided meditation and hypnosis, they go hand in hand, they’re extremely identical. They’re not similar. They’re identical, extremely identical.

So question I become says, what do we achieve with hypnosis and what do we do with meditation, meditation allows you to get into a hypnotic state within which you have heightened your awareness, and you have increased your focus. And overall, you have now discovered a part of you that can heal yourself in meditation. In hypnosis, you have a heightened awareness. You have heightened focus, similar. But then hypnosis allows you to be very objective with that, which you’re trying to do. For example, you want to lose weight, you want to quit smoking, you want to overcome anxiety, you want to overcome overwhelm, all these things can be structured into a hypnotic session. So hypnotic session has a start and an end, the end being a suggestion to the unconscious mind to achieve a certain outcome. Meditation is a holistic approach to the kind of activating everything and achieving a sense of heightened hypnotic state within which you may choose or you may not choose a specific outcome, but overall, you maintain an incredible state. With everything that’s happening in your life, you could achieve that that’s why meditation, I look at it this way, meditation is the foundation. But then you start putting pillars on top of it, which could act as you know, the structure that you want to build. And once the structure is in place, you still need the foundation, you don’t see it. Okay? And the pillars could be different things that you would like to take out from your system, all you want to instill into your system, and you do that using hypnosis. I hope this analogy is right. And I’m hoping I’m getting the point across.

By the way, there are different definitions of this, and every time I get into an intellectual discussion with other hypnotists and other practitioners of yoga, and meditation, we tend to agree but we also tend not to agree because it’s such it’s we are small as individuals. We are very small to have a say in such an incredible discussion. And most of the time these discussions lead to confusion at our level when we are sitting and talking about things, but the bottom line is this, you want to achieve a positive state, you want to achieve calmness in you, you want to achieve a stress-free state, or you want to lead a stress-free life. Do whatever makes sense to you. If you want to subjectively take some things out of your life, try hypnosis, if you want to collect will increase everything in your life, try meditation, and yoga, see there is a place for everything. The key is this, the key is that you want to be experiencing life on a daily basis, in its highest state. So use anything that you want to use. But don’t get into this debate of which is right which is wrong, why they should be this way why that should be that way. We are too small, but just individuals. We are. We are existing here that have been incredible people ahead of us, there will be incredible people after us.

There is so much wisdom, so much knowledge, there’s so much for us to absorb, learn from, and make meaning out of this life, I would have to focus on that. I have traveled and depreciated everything that I have seen, I have learned and I’ve never placed one about you about the other. They all are God’s blessings to us, to mankind to heal itself, and to everything that comes. Why not we take it after all. We are humans. That’s all. I know, you may have more questions, I’d love to take your questions on this topic and go a little bit deeper on this. Maybe I will do that over the next few episodes here. But then, hopefully, this will remove some misconceptions, maybe that is associated with hypnosis. Again, both hypnosis mind bending tool, it creates awareness. It creates a heightened response to a suggestion used to heal. It’s used to create new realities. It is used to remove some incorrect perceptions and remove some imprints from the mind altogether a new kind of reality and give you the start that you’re seeking. Hopefully.

Okay, I want to stop here, and we’ll catch up tomorrow. Have a wonderful Saturday. Bye now.
