Too Much of a Good (Marketing) Thing?

There are a numerous ways to make an earning on the web and they all involve one form of marketing or another. Websites and blogs, for example, can earn decent (or even significant) income from affiliate banners, direct ads, click through ads, etc. But, there will be those who “fear” such marketing strategies as there may be worries that an overabundance of ads will scare off readers.

Friends, if advertisements scared off readers where would the newspaper and magazine business be these days? The fact of the matter remains that readers will stick with their favorite websites and blogs if the quality of the content is high enough regardless of the volume of ads provided the layout of the ads does not interfere with their reading.

While you may get a complaint here or there the average reader understands that web and blog hosting costs time and money and advertisements are a means of paying for the associated costs. If, however, you cannot meet the costs you may have to close shop. Clearly, this will disappoint regular readers. So, don’t neglect potential ad revenues because ultimately your readers will benefit as the ads will keep you in business a long, long time.

On A Side Note:

I am still evaluating the possibilities of some advertising on this blog, but shall never compromise on the looks, fell and the content quality.
