My Blog Got A Face Lift!

Just about 8 hours ago..we went live with this template on the blog. Hopefully you will like it.

I struggled with the design and the color combinations. If you like or dislike the design, color scheme etc please do let me know.

Appreciate your comments and suggestions. Please do take a few minutes and post your comments here.

There are some components on the blog that are still being worked upon. I expect it to be up and running by Feb 5, 2008.

Sincerely

Srini

    Hi Dave & Eco,

Thank for your comments, I promise not to stuff it up with google adwords. I will have some ads to monetize it but I will keep the design and focus on quality.

    Thanks

Srini, you asked for constructive feedback. Here goes:

First, your tagline, “success strategies & techniques for marketers, small business owners and entrepreneurs!” is too vague. What do you mean by “success strategies & techniques?” Make your tagline benefit driven and specific.

Second, you don’t give your visitors good reasons to subscribe to your monthly newsletter. What are the BENEFITS your visitor will receive when s/he subscribes to your newsletter?

Remember, you’re not advertising in a vacuum. The average person sees 200,000+ advertisements a year. So how are you going to cut through all that clutter and get your visitor’s attention?

One other thing and it’s important…

The reality is that it can be just as difficult to give something away for free than it does to sell your product!

    Why?

Because our inboxes are flooded with emails. All the more reason, you’ve got to give them reasons why it’s in their best interest to subscribe to your newsletter. But, collecting their email address is not enough…

When s/he optins, take them to a new page where you also request their physical mailing address, phone number etc. in exchange for something VALUABLE that you can mail to them. Will all your opt-ins give you their contact information?

No! But, a good portion will if you offer something of immense value. The beauty of implementing this strategy in your business is that you can start marketing offline as well.

    Hi Tony,

Thank you for great comments and suggestions. This is excellent.

#1) I have over 7 taglines that I am testing with.
Split testing will comnmence on this soon. I
will upload the second one and would like you
    to comment on it.

#2) You are right on the point: Selling free stuff is harder than paid one.

The opt-in is being worked upon right now. The E-Book offer will be replaced with another compelling offer. That will get attention from visitors.

#3) I have taken your advice on the benefit driven option offer too.

#4) Full Address: In the past I have extensively driven people from small squeeze page to full address optins.

Here are couple of my websites where you can see that

    http://www.howtofindmotivatedsellers.com
    http://www.masterpreforeclosures.com

Howtofindmotivatedsellers.com even authorizes creditcard and effectively qualifies the prospect upfront with a strong offer. For sometime I tested this with a sequeeze page upfront also. But it did not convert well.

I wish everyone would have provided this level of feedback like you.

    A big thanks to you..

    Sincerely

    Srini
