Use Your Million Dollar Asset

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

Welcome, welcome back happy Friday morning to you today on the podcast, we are talking about a million-dollar asset that you already have, and that you are not using. So if you are a regular listener, and you have been with me through this journey, this podcast became a daily podcast, starting first of January 2022. And ever since I’ve been coming every day here and talking about different concepts, different ideas, sometimes talking about some resources, sometimes doing some interviews. So it has been a journey. So along the way, at some point, I also kept on talking about different authors, different books that influenced me, that got me started, that gave me the confidence that gave me the courage to do what I do today, in several aspects of my life, and I’ve been talking about those authors, I’ve been talking about those books. So today, I want to talk about a book, an author who changed. The first time I read the book changed my life. And this is not the first time I talk, I’m talking about this book or about this author. The book we are talking about today is how to change confidence, how how to have confidence and power in dealing with people. This was a book that was written in the 60s, I believe, or 50s. And the author of this book, let’s Giblin, I read this book for the very first time. And I somehow felt I need to read this book a second time. And I read this book is the only book I read a second time. And then the first book I’ve ever read a second time, like an end to end page to page. And then I kept on reading this book so many times that I don’t know, these days, every time I get on, on a radio show, or on this podcast or even face, every time I speak, literally, anytime I speak on getting on a stage, there are some things that automatically just simply like that just unconsciously flow from this book. It’s such a powerful book. And over the years, I give multiple copies of this book on my radio shows.

So that’s how powerful this book is. And why am I telling you this, I want you to get this book, I want you to read this book? So today, I want to share something with you, that changed my life. And now depending on whether you read this book, on Kindle, or online, there is at least the copy that I have on page number 81. So this is a paperback. And this is page number 81 This Is what I’m referring to in this book. But this is chapter seven, and this chapter seven of this book is about how to make the other fellow feel friendly instantly. Okay. And in this chapter on page 76, Lois Gibson says, work miracles with a smile, guy. And then later little later on, on to page number 80. He says Use your million-dollar asset. Okay, so he says, if you’re not using your smile, you are like a man with a million dollars in the bank. And no checkbook is smiling is the million-dollar asset in your human relations inventory. From long experience in dealing with people and in teaching people how to develop their smiles in my human relations and sales clinics, I have come to the conclusion that everyone has a million-dollar smile locked up inside him. Such a powerful message right there. Now I want to tell you something I never had. I when I read this book a couple of times two or three times I never believed in this, that you need to have a million-dollar smile. And I’d go back and look at all my photos from my childhood, like not my childhood teenage years and then in my 20s None of the photos from my teenage years and my 20s I was smiling. I was never smiling. I was an angry man. I was like, I don’t know it’s not anger, anger. It’s not for sure. Not smiling. But sure it’s not anger, but somehow I was like very reserved. And after that, this book changed. Now, in this chapter, he talks about he says starting today, begins to develop a genuine smile by practicing before your bathroom Do you know what a real smile looks like? When you see one, your mirror will tell you whether your smile is real or phony. Also, going through the motions of smiling will get you in the habit and actually make you feel more like smiling. Now I’m going to go on record and say this, I never stopped smiling. Ever since I read this book for the third time. Now, I know exactly when that is, I go into the timeline and look at all the photos.

Now I was not and I was not smiling at all. And then I started to practice this in front of the mirror. I would like to open my teeth and keep looking in the mirror for hours together for hours literally. And for days together monsters gather, eventually, I did our people. Social media happen on Facebook happened. This was pre-social media, which I’m sharing with you here. And through social media, every time there was a photo that I posted, or any events and seminars, or workshops, you cannot find Well, you look at any of my photos, and it is a gentleman’s smile. There is a genuine smile that has been practiced, that is connected to the soul. And I credit this book, and this message to Les Gibson for simply changing and instilling this bell helping me to recognize the million-dollar asset, I never knew I could do this, and it changed my life. Hopefully, you are listening to this.

Hopefully, this will. Now there are many other experts later on in the recent year, there are some TED Talks. And there are some I heard a TED talk also, some lady talking about, you know, just keeping your mouth just keeping your teeth wide will make you smile, it takes you out of a depressive state, just opening your mouth and smiling just simply open like II just opening your teeth and simply saying he and you it just shift the entire face your face and everything. And just if you keep your teeth open, like this, he just makes a sound so that because you can’t see me. But if it’s if you open your mouth, you open the teeth and keep it like that. It’s just a matter of time before you start smiling.

So I also read that of course, there is some good information there. But let’s give them got me started this book got me started. So get this book, and build up the million-dollar asset you have it. You know there are so many other different dimensions angles, Liz Kaplan talks about and it’s an incredible book. Okay, stop here. I don’t want to go on a rant here. Keep repeating myself. Go enjoy your Friday. And before you know it, I’ll be with you here tomorrow. Right here. Keep listening. Keep liking keep sharing. keep subscribing. Bye now.
