8 Productivity Apps I CANNOT Live Without!

8 Productivity Apps I CANNOT Live Without!

Here is the complete transcript of the podcast

So today’s podcast, you’re gonna love this, I promise you, you’re gonna love this. This is a question that I was waiting for somebody to ask me for years. 2013 was the first time somebody asked me this question. And I really waited for nine years before I got this question back. And this is a question that was, that is as latest as last night, a friend of mine, just from a pure conversation, just asked me about what apps you use. To make yourself more productive? Incredible question. I was waiting. Nobody asked if there was an award, I would have given it to you if you would have asked me this question. So I decided why not record a podcast? I answered him and actually added more to this. And just about eight apps that I use on my iPhone, and some of them are on my computer, but mostly on my iPhone. And I believe these apps are available on Android. Also, these days, everything is available everywhere.

So there are some productivity apps that I use. And today’s podcast is all about the apps. These apps, they’re great. Okay, let’s get into this. The first app is without any order, I’m just giving them away without any order. The first app is called capital with a Q capital with a Q. This app. I talked about this a few days ago. What this app does is it does something interesting, which is let’s say you go to a store, you spend, you know, $1.30 or $1.20, whatever. And what it does is it rounds, whatever your bill to a whole number. For example. I put one gallon of gas in my car and $6.39 Oh, that’s what I filled last night. Okay. $6.39 and 39 cents to $7. Okay, now we’re talking about what’s the gap of 51 cents, something like that. So what it does are 61 cents I believe, yeah, 61 cents. So what it does is it takes 61 cents and either puts it into a separate account or invests it for you. I have it configured to put that into a separate account. And just a few days ago I talked about how to save at the bottom. Like, save literally like after you saved everything you have done your 401 K’s you have done your every and any and every kind of saving investment. Even after that, how to save on day-to-day daily transactions. This app is amazing. Check it out. Okay. The next one is my fitness pal. If you are a health freak, you work out you exercise you eat, then you want to measure your calories. And My Fitness Pal is the app is my second most used app on my phone. The third app is the C two 5k. App. I have a paid version of this. Okay. So by the way, all these apps, are free. Capital I pay my fitness pal I pay C two 5k. The app is called C two 5k couch to 5k. So if you are thinking of running and you want to learn how to run, then C two 5k Is the app I have been using this app forever. I have C to 5k and C to 10k. And have I run a paid version of it? I love this app. This app keeps me on track for my running. The next app notes on my iPhone Note app that comes with iOS. This app I use this to write down notes and I’m always taking notes. Most of my podcast episodes are notes that I have taken. I do write down but then notes when enough hurry somewhere I don’t have an access to a notebook to write down. Then I use notes to take notes. Very, the very poor, very common app I use is highly productive. I can keep it on my phone. I can keep it in iCloud. It’s amazing. Okay, the next one is again a paid one.

Notice is free by the way, but the next one is a paid one which is called True Bill. Do you have any subscriptions that you are struggling to cancel? You have subscriptions like Netflix or I don’t know, Netflix, but things that you bought some time ago, and that coupon they keep on billing you, you’d have no idea where these bills are coming from. You have a lot of money in your, you know, credit card or in your checking account, and you keep on paying them and you occasionally, it comes to notice that here, yeah, I don’t need this, I should cancel it, but you never go back and cancel it. If that’s who you are, you need to get this app. It’s called true bill. It used to be called a true bill. I think you can look it up as trouble. But then, later on, they change the name to rocket money. So check this app. I love this app, as a business owner. And as a family, man, I’m like, I have like zillion subscriptions. And I am always, you know, getting more every month I’m adding two or three subscriptions here and there, it just adds up. So I use Drupal to maintain my subscription levels. I’m not saying cancel, but at least you should know what you have put your money into. Drupal does it incredibly. The next one is a free one that I use, I use it extensively. It’s called Trello, d r e LL. It has a website but loves the app Trello allows me to schedule and plan my days. Let’s say I want to see all the podcast episodes done in the month of January 2020. At the beginning of this year. My Trello shows me all the podcasts I’ve done and the title of each podcast for each day. And I have for January, February, March, and April.

The reason why I have it that way is that occasionally when people ask me questions, I can go back, can search the Trello board for the title. And I know which day the podcast was released, and I sent them the link Trello allows you to plan projects. It allows you to see color code the tasks, you can see you can move the tasks around. So if I want to move something, I can plan my January, February, let’s say I’m creating a course content, a weight loss course, then I know I can come up with the modules in different modules, then I can plan. Each module will have how many videos or how many PDFs or how many checklists. And then each video I can assign different people to work on each. And I also can color code them. So I know at any point in time as a cause as a project. How is my project doing? Very, very powerful. Get it if you want to really get control of everything happening in your life, then the next one is doing just do. Just do it. Do is an app, I think it’s a free app. Wonderful one loves it. This is the one that I have been recommending to all my coaching clients for years, not yes, for about a year. And what this does is you can list all the tasks you want to do. And you can check mark each of these tasks. Very, very powerful. You’re writing down all the tasks on paper and you’re striking them. That’s the old way to do it.

The new ways to use an app, the best app that I found I’m not saying this is the best app, there are many more apps, and you can pick and choose whichever one you want. But this one, I somehow got a handle on this one, this is good. And the last one is called Spark Video, SP AR K video Spark Video. This is a paid app. This is the app I use to record my Instagram videos and my YouTube shots. And this one allows me to record in edit mode, I can record one line, then pause, then come back and record the second line two minutes later, five minutes later. And then when I render this video, then it sounds as if I have recorded this whole video in one shot. It’s a very, very powerful app, at least for the things that I’m doing in my life. Very, very powerful. So these are the apps. I have a few more but these are the ones that are used purely for productivity. And that is the focus of today’s podcast. That was the question.

So let me see how many I took note of here 123456788 apps that I shared with you. Okay, capital My Fitness Pal sees two 5k notes Drupal rocket money Trello to Spark video. Oh, Okay that’s all for now hopefully this is helpful if it is let me know and before you know it I’ll be with you as early as tomorrow. Keep listening.
