Its about 1:36AM here in California and just saw the Indian TV channels reporting ATS chief Hemant Karkare, Additional Commissioner Ashok Kamte and encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar are killed while putting up a brave fight against the terrorists in Mumbai.
These are top police officers and as the son of a former Indian police officer I salute these brave sons of India. May their souls rest in peace.
